St Ives Shopping Village

This centre offers a calm, gentle, unhurried opportunity to browse the numerous boutiques. The cafes are varied and all offer great choices. A pleasant experience compared to the hustle and bustle of "other" major shopping complexes. Wonderful for wheelchairs and walkers. Downside? the parking spaces seem narrow and can be tricky to find one.

Lane Cove National Park

We reserved the Commandment Rock picnic area for a birthday party. It has a huge undercover area with lots of benches and tables. There is a basic wood barbecue and no electricity so it’s better to bring all your food. The toilets are only about 50 meters away. The area has a car park and a large grassy area for kids to run around. We had a great time even when it started to rain as the covered area is so big.

There are several theatres in this cinema, one of which is accessible without stairs. It has an old-world charm, with a great selection of art-house and major movies, and metro-opera. The waiting rooms have comfortable lounge chairs. The place adds to the enjoyment of going out to see a movie.

Our tour company, Audley, set up a private car tour for us with Australian Luxury Escapes to the Blue Mtns. On the way we stopped for 1.5 hrs at the wildlife rehab center--had our photo with the koala! Great rescue for wildlife that cannot be returned to the wild. Our driver was great. He learned that we loved organ music so he told us all about the organ at the town hall then offered to play a CD he had of organ music! We were just floating on our drive out to the blue mtns. He stopped in a small park on the way and we listened to birds singing in the trees as well as he had a lovely tea set up with desserts at a picnic table in the woods. He spotted a few kangaroos in the park and we also loved spotting birds in the forest. A very special stop. We learned a lot about the area. We stopped several places to get out and walk to see different views. Had lunch at a nice restaurant on the edge of the park. Very comfortable van. Even though we were advised that tipping was not common in Australia, he earned a tip from us!

Rose Seidler House

When completed in 1950, Rose Seidler House was ‘the most talked about house in Sydney’. Today, still surrounded by bushland with panoramic views of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, the house is one of the finest examples of mid 20th-century modern domestic architecture in Australia. Open Sundays only, we encourage visitors to explore the house on their own, with our friendly guides on hand to provide information or help if needed. Please note that due to the fragility of the interior, you will be asked to remove your shoes when entering the house so remember to wear your best socks!

This four-story major regional shopping mall is housing an impressive array of retailers, about 170 stores. The most significant is David Jones, but there are a sizable Coles and K-Mart as well.
This prestigious retail destination is a perfect place to hunt from some good buys in elegant shops. My aim was David Jones, where I found many Samsonite suitcases because that's why I went there. The warm, vibrant ambiance of the place encourages you to walk into new and more stores and look around. Much more enjoyable than most major shopping centers.

We had the most wonderful time out on Sydney harbour with Robbie and Monnie celebrating my husband's 30th birthday. Juliet and Tim were amazing to deal with from my very first enquiry. Unfortunately due to terrible weather we were unable to take our sail when we had hoped in November but Juliet an Tim did everything they possibly could to accommodate us at another date. When we finally did get to go the wait was more than worthwhile. Not only were we upgraded to their beautiful larger boat but we felt like royalty the whole time. Robbie and Monnie were incredibly attentive but at the same time gave us enough space to make it still feel very romantic.
We were able to take whatever food and drinks that we liked on board which was fantastic. We also opted for their beautiful seafood platter and enjoyed oysters, smoked salmon, a beautiful salad and they most delicious barbecued salmon and prawns! It was brilliant! We could not have asked for anything more. I can't thank Champagne sailing enough for such a beautiful night. I don't think there are many other companies in Sydney who offer the same service. We are planning on coming back to do it again with friends!

Wharf Review in its 15 years presented by Jonathan Biggins, Amanda Bishop, Drew Forsythe and Phil Scott this year reminiscing on the times of the ex prime Ministers - Bob Hawke, Paul Keating, John Howard, Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard, Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull and their MPs Julia Bishop, Castello, Downer, Mark Latham and and and… This year Warf Review certainly did not fail to live up to my expectations.
The Warf Review is a bitter sweet scorning satire, a mockery of political machinations, well presented and portrayed, evoking peels of laughter from the audiences . A good night to be had.

Sydney Harbour

Secluded Beaches, quiet coves and soaring headlands predominate this harbor, which is considered one of the world's most beautiful.

Fantastic place to visit, has great harbour views, cafes, fast food, restaurants and more. Great busking from local musicians adds to the ambience. Regular ferry services to take you all over the harbour. Our hotel was within walking distance to the harbour as is many of the hotels in this area. Cruise ships frequent the international cruise terminal opposite the Opera House and by Sydney harbour bridge, great tourist destination. Recommend on your bucket list!!
