Srebreno Beach

We tried on two occasions to visit the beach area but could not find a parking space unless you park above the beach area and walk into the area which is downhill somewhat not good for anyone with walking difficulties
There is parking around the beach area but is limited
It’s a lovely area and it would have been nice to see it for longer than we could
The Sheraton has a large hotel here

Just perfect! The views over Dubrovnik were amazing and the restaurant chosen for the light meal on our way back was very cozy. Everything went smoothly and since we were the only ones on that tour we certainly got some "extra". Nothing negative to say!

Ancient City Walls

We took around 2 hours with our many photo stops, and it is worth every second. The views are spectacular and the history amazing.
Approximately 1.9km in total (excluding side detours up towers) it can be walked in one continuous loop so you can start and finish at the same location. We started at the Ploce Gate and this was ideal as when you come off the wall the main port area and city street are just at the base.

I had done my research prior to choosing Aquarius based on the price and availability of accomodations. My initial emails were answered promptly and rides on my first and last dive days were offered. The captain of the dive boat was my lift and a cook as well. Pre-dive briefings were conducted regularly and the Dive Master was attentive to their group or students. Groups were turned back to the boat as soon as the first diver reached a specific air level and divers with more air could continue around the boat with a buddy. Lunches are cooked on board and were very tasty; it's an extra charge but not obligatory. Due to the water temperature, I had to rent a 7.5mm wetsuit to be comfortable in the 60-70 degree thermoclines. Sea-life was less than I'm used to but that's not a legitimate complaint; more of an observation. Most days we were back by 4-4:30 and had our gear ready for the next trip. The crew and guides were friendly, attentive and very professional.
A great choice for my first diving trip in Croatia plus a 5% discount for 5+ dives.

Old Town

This place is magnificent. Almost took the Game of Thrones tour. So glad I didn’t do it. Walking the wall and looking down on the old town and the surrounding vista was breathtaking. I was glad it wasn’t crowded because I was able to take my time to imagine life as it was. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes because there are many stairs to climb and the terrain is not even.

We came to visit two times. The first visit was a private tour but our guide just let us roam the town. There is everything you need from banks to groceries and a fresh produce stall. Restaurants and gift shops line the streets. It is a nice walk after looking at old walls.

SubCity Dubrovnik

Interesting selection of shops. Amazing make up and perfume and department type store with high end brands which I d expect to see in a city. The supermarket in the lower ground floor is ok for basics, but sometimes out of stock of some items e.g. Coke Zero , hummus. Does have fresh milk and bread. On the top floor there is a fab little cafe which does lovely meals which are good value, and a cafe on the ground floor which does drinks and desserts. (Both serve alcohol ) Good quality shoe shop on top floor . Bar/ restaurant on the ground floor too but I didn't go there. Toilets could be cleaner ( everywhere else has had very clean toilets) the mall is worth a visit.

Vlaho Bukovac House

Reviewed By Valerie T - Bedford, United Kingdom

We had never heard of this artist, but picked up about the house/exhibition from a tour brochure. In Cavtat, we asked the way to the house and everyone knew where it was - up one of the side paths from the main Promenade. If you like art then it was interesting to view the pictures. If you are into history then it was fascinating to walk around Bukovac's house and read about him, his family and some of the history of Cavtat. A pleasant way to spend an hour.
