We went to Sonoma Valley. This is a wonderful area to explore. There are lots of cute communities such as Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Windsor, Sonoma, Healdsburg. There are lots of great parks including Armstrong Redwoods State Park, We went again in July and enjoyed a Fourth of July lunch, wine tasting, exploring the country side, and then later visited with friends.

The stretch from Bodega Bay to Jenner is spectacular, as the road hugs the coastline, highlighted by sea stacks, coves, and endless vistas. Plenty of pull outs for beach stops, with many outfitted with picnic tables to relax and watch the ocean. Take your pick of the beaches, and spend the day in one of the most beautiful places on earth. And, if you are lucky, you could catch a whale or two in season. Just a great place.

What a beautiful venue! We stopped by here too late in the afternoon to enjoy all of the grounds, but it was still a lovely stop. We were interested in just white wines, and they were all fantastic. I enjoyed the Chardonnay that we tried, but was most impressed with the Albariño. Yum.

This was our first stop on our self guided wine tours. Beautiful grounds. The staff was awesome. Explained the wines and made recommendations. We took our wine and walked all over the property. Very nice day here!

Lovely grounds and wine are the hallmark of Cline. With a vast vineyard and site of the last Mission to be founded along the Mission trail, this winery, with ponds, palms, picnic areas and the Mission Museum with scale models of all the missions in one place curated by the late Mrs Cline, is worth a stop. We enjoy every visit here,their wines are wonderful, and we are really enjoying the older varietals like Barbera and Viognier that are making a come back but make no mistake, their old vines turn out some serious Zin.

Wonderful ambiance. You can do tastings inside or outside. Picnic tables, bocce court, corn hole. Open field area to picnic on or play soccer etc. VIP seating area for members. A family friendly, dog friendly winery.

This weekend was our first time at the Viansa and we loved our experience here. We found this place looking for pet friendly wineries in the Sonoma area since we took our dog with us on our weekend getaway. The property is very spacious and the views from the tables overlooking the vineyeard are amazing! The tastings were very reasonable in my opinion. We got a classic tasting ($15) and a reserve tasting ($20). Each of the tastings had five different wines that you could taste. We really enjoyed the wines. This is a perfect place to sit and hang out for a while and take in the views of the vineyard. I also really liked that they have a market place there where you can get a sandwich and/or snacks while you enjoy your wine. They even had water bowls for dogs and dogs are allowed everywhere except the tasting room. We will definitely be back here the next time we are in the area.
