The Cheese Iron

I really like this place (maybe too much). It's a great spot to pick up some delectable gourmet items. This time around, I got their Tuscan tuna salad to go and some chocolate from two of my favorite chocolatiers, Byrne and Carlson and Ragged Coast Chocolates. They also have some of the best customer service I've ever seen -- they greet you as you enter the shop and say goodbye when you leave, and they're very accommodating in helping you decide what to purchase from a plethora of enticing choices.

Ferry Beach

Reviewed By portmystic91 - Biddeford, United States

Had my first trip here after nine years in Maine and I have no idea how I went so long without hearing about this gem of a beach! Sprawling stretches of sand great for couples, solo trips, or families. Water was shallow and the warmest I've felt of the Atlantic yet. A hermit crab migration made it a great time to watch and get up close to the wildlife. Looking forward to exploring more of the shoreline in search of more sea glass picking! Great place for shells!

sometimes you want to cook in, have the fare Maine is famous for in your home setting. We went to Flaherty’s for our first time even though we only live 25 mins away. Service was fantastic. We bought steamers, haddock, asparagus, fresh bread, pickled beats, and an apple raspberry pie. Everything was fresh and delicious! We’ll be back! Thank you for making our simple evening at home, one to remember.
