The falling water in midst of green landscape is indeed a treat to watch. A small walk leads to the viewpoints from where you can have glances of this beautiful waterfall. There are two falls here one big and one small, you will be more near to the small one from the allowed standpoint but the bigger one is a better one. Must visit if you are nearby. Expect it to be crowded as it is one of the favorite picnic spot for locals.

Good Valley of flowers, although it was not at full blossom when we went. Nice drive up the hill. Could see some nice bed of flowers

Beautiful fort. Amazing views. A MUST is to take a guide. He will charge you around. History of Shivaji maharaj is amazing!
There could be traffic jam near the entrance as our educated people park wherever they want! No one to monitor that. You need to take a car/cab and there is no other way of reaching here!
It can take easily 2 hours if you hire a guide.

the drive to the lake is very nice and winding. it has lovely thick forest all along the road. the road is well maintained have good cottage to stay all along the road. reminds you of international tourist spot. water is clean but not developed so far.
the place is through the kaas platue . the drive would be great during the rainy season.

About 20-25 kms from Satara, situated on a hill, is the old fort which is now called Sajjan Gadh which is the final resting place of Samarth Ramdas Swami, the Guru of Shivaji Maharaj and a very popular saint in Maharshtra.
There are about 250 odd steps from the parking place to the Shrine, which can be a challenge in high Sun. There are 3 gates of the fort which you have to cross and while climbing up can have a very picturesque view of the scenery / greenery around. Once you reach there, you feel the serenity of the place and enjoy the peace. We had Darshan of the Shrine, which is closed from 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm. There are many other temples in and around the complex. From the back of the fort you can have the beautiful view of a dam and its Reservoir.
We also had Prasad Bhojan there which was a divine experience.
One only suggestion to the establishment there is to pay more attention to the hygiene and cleanliness of the restrooms for visitors.

Wai village is starting point of ghat road towards panchgini and Mahabaleshwar. This temple is sitauted in wai village. Dholya Ganapati is different idol of Ganpati than you have seen elsewhere. Idol is originally of black stone but now is coloured.

The drive to Chalkewadi Windmill Farms itself is very exciting because you have to go through the magnificent terrain, and gradually, you will see so many windmills dotted the hills. When you get close to the windmill, it can be quite intimidating because they're actually so much bigger than anticipated. The drive up to the windmill farms, just the last 300 meters, can be quite challenging, but it will be worth it.

A dam which has helped in making Maharashtra a Sujalam, Sufalam place in India. It generates electricity thru stage 1, stage II, Stage III, Stage IV and Stage V. We had an oppertuinity to visit all stageds except the 5th. In earlier visit I had seen lake tapping in progress. Koyna generates huge electric power to feed Upper and lower Maharshtra. It also regulate water supply to near entire south of Maharashtra.The place has a huge Shiv Sagar Lake made by the Dam.Down stream project power generation an water supply is managed with output from this dam. It supplier irrigation and drinking water across the years. The jungle around the dam site is breath taking.Peace and tranquility rein in here and for a city dweller provides an enchanting atmosphere here away from hustle and bustle of city life. Once one falls in love with the dam and surroundings, one keeps on re-visiting the place.

Pleasant and Devine experience. Saw the old articles used and belonging to Ramdas Swami. My trip was very short. I would recommend to spend one day to get the feel of Math and enjoy the feel of visit.

This is a large waterbody which will be seen from all the hills and ghats surrounding Satara. It is a mini dam made to stop the local river making it useful for irrigation to places nearby. Nothing great to specially travel and visit it.
