The location has 2 main parts, TB Silalahi's personal history/achievements museum and the Batak civilization museum. Impressive personal archive and very informative for those interested to learn about the Batak-nese.
The place has a small cafetaria and gift shop, but not much things to browse to buy.

Huta Bolon Simanindo Batak Museum

Reviewed By Cheerysunshine2001 - Singapore

We missed the Batak traditional dance performance on Sunday, as there's only one performance @ 11.45am. Entrance fees to Huta Bolon Museum, Simanindo without dance performance is IDR10,000. Personally, I think it's culturally rich, as there's no price-tag to history. Of course, it would be great if description of artefacts can be more detailed & informative. Overall, I'm equally satisfied without experiencing the Batak traditional dance performance

Efrata Waterfall

Reviewed By Shahul Hameed S - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The waterfall was more than what we have expected it to be. The journey there was very interesting as well. the road is surrounded by the paddy filed with Mountains as the backdrop. The waterfall water level was quite low during our visit so we could go near to the wall. The water was super cold and refreshing. However it might get a liitle to crowded if there are many people because the pool is just small.

when you in samosir island, you must visited this hill with breathtaking view or take you to the natural pool with clearly water and also the best spot watin sunset. There is some tropical flowers up the hill that you can oonly seen in the dry season. If you go by yourself with a ented motorbike, you could riding around the island but you miss every little piece.

This is one of my favorite spot of Samosir island. It's the view. In my own opinion, its so beautiful. I came to this spot few times, since the local becak/tuk tuk guy showed me and I love spending an hour or bit more there, have little picnic or just to chill Reading my books. The view of the Toba lake, Waterfalls, and rice field of the local people is really calming.
