This place is huge exclamation it would take a couple of days to explore the entire place. They have every kind of store imaginable here. Several food courts with local and international chain restaurants. They even have several car dealerships on the 4th floor.

El parque cuenta con muchas actividades para entretenerte todo el día, también es muy tranquilo para descansar, tiene un Canopy excelente y alto.

En Sabaneta es parte del turismo además de lo gastronómico y de la feria de caballista los martes de La virgen María Auxiliadora. El templo Principal en e l marco de la plaza es culto católico bajo la advocación de Santa Ana, fue construido a finales del siglo XIX en todo el marco de la plaza de Simón Bolívar. Un martes en 1968 en plena eucaristía se le apareció la virgen y desde ese momento se instituyo los martes de María Auxiliadora y el 24 de Mayo en casi que fiesta departamental, Miles de feligreses y devotos acuden a esta iglesia cuya imagen la regaló el dueño de un periódico Nacional. Y se le atribuyen miles de milagros porque se elevó a Santuario Diocesano de María Auxiliadora de la Arquidiócesis de Medellín, y muy próximo está en que la eleven a Basílica Menor. Sitio de Peregrinación y de Visita obligada. AEMR

The day was beautiful and it was relaxing to be on the water. Very interesting to learn that the town was bombed (people safely moved) to make a lagoon for the hydro electric. We saw Pablo Escobar's house and then went as far as the Penol Rock. Great scenery, quiet and enjoyable. The boat ride was part of a day tour we took from Medellin. Spanish speaking only.

Es una lástima que este centro comercial este en decadencia, confine va pasando el tiempo se puede ver la falta de promoción y ha dejado de ser visitado por los residentes de Sabaneta debido a la falta de opciones comerciales dentro del mismo. Lo único que merece la pena es visitar la sala de cine. Son más los locales comerciales vacíos que los que están en funcionamiento, la zona de comida se limita a no más de 5 restaurantes abiertos, una verdadera lástima.

Gloria and Santiago show you around in their private home, which has been built through the past 25 years - and keeps on having more sections added to it!
It looks like nothing special from the outside, but when you enter it is like a castle of hallways, staircases, small bedrooms - a true adventure.
When I visited their house I wished so badly to be a small child again, because it was with the joy and enthusiasm of a child that I explored their 'mansion'. It was like a fairytale.
Santiago is a true artist to have built this house and everything in it, from only small rocks, pebbles, and "trash" he's found around town. It's a true, modern, sustainable house - but built in a manner that reminds me of the Castles of the ancient England.
As we wrote in their guest book, Gloria cooked us a traditional Antioquinian desert, and all the was through the tour of the house we were enlightened with their beautiful stories, from her hospitable being.
A lovely place you must visit! But call them in advance. They have no internet, computer, cellphone or anything. You must call them and ask if it is ok to come and visit their house; because it isn't like a museum or anything - you will be accepted as a guest in their house.
When your visit ends you must give them money in the box they have for the purpose. I suggest giving them around or at least 20.000 COP, which is the equivalent of $3 USD.
I personally truly think that they deserve that money; and for people who can afford to travel, this amount should be absolutely nothing.

Un lugar algo escondido a la vista del publico pero cerca de todo, Sabaneta goza de pequeños y medianos establecimientos de bebidas y comidas y este es especial por su ubicacion, lleno de naturaleza y con una vista inigualable que compite con los mejores de la zona, la comida deliciosa y la atencion insuperable.

The only down fall at least for me was that the Metro is not convenient to all location around the city. It was a good 20 minute walk. It doesn have stops for some major landmarks like Botero Park Parque Berrio) And the MetroCable (Santo Domingo).
