Lincoln Parish Park

Reviewed By Rver_AR - Little Rock, United States

Came to LPP on friend’s recommendation - wished we could stay more than 1 night - enroute to see grandchildren. Full hookups, Class AAA campsites. We had primo site on the lake - 18. Rustic loop available for a woods tent camping experience. Even in winter this wooded park is really pretty. And we had a relaxed back-highways drive from Little Rock. Great lake views from the campground loops. Paved easy 1.25 mi. trail around the lake. Fishing swimming boating. Park is well-known for its bicycle trails. After dreary days - rain with blustery winds - we experienced a nice winter day at LPP. Highly recommend this hidden country gem for day visit or camping.

Louisiana Military Museum

Exhibits feature uniforms, weapons, flags, training gear, aircraft and vehicles from almost every conflict in American history. Compare the tools of war from the Civil War era with modern combat technology and learn the stories of local heroes and unknown enemies.

This locally-operated museum is jam packed with artifacts from every major armed conflict from the Civil War to the war on terrorism. It has a local flavor as it highlights locals who have served as well as many artifacts they brought home. It would be difficult to find a more comprehensive collection outside the Smithsonian. Extremely rare items can be found in the exhibits for the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf Wars, and the continuing war against terrorism. The collection of weapons is astounding. There are also some outdoor exhibits--a fighter, Huey helicopter, Russian rocket, etc. And it's free.

Joe Aillet Stadium

Reviewed By bobD7232FS - Baton Rouge, United States

Enjoyed tailgating and pre game festivities for Louisiana Tech homecoming. Live music, food and lots of people watching seeing old and young alike enjoy the revelry that is college football. The stadium has easy access and the price of admission is very very affordable. For $20 we had great bench seats on the 25 yardline one section up from the field. Family friendly.....we had an absolute delightful time! A fun experience!
