My husband and I visited there a week ago. Hubby is the car enthusiast, but I soon became interested! I was amused by the long horned beasties! Not that large a museum, but very well laid out with a great ambiance and variety of interesting cars of yesteryear. After a thoroughly entertaining visit and tour with Edith, we were kindly presented with a little bag of 'goodies' which turned out to be so useful and enjoyable on our road trip.

There are bottle trees planted for each soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice in war . A very sobering walk.

The Roma Saleyards are the largest cattle selling centre in Australia, with over 400,000 cattle passing through a year. Enjoy the NEW state-of-the-art interpretive centre telling the story of the cattle industry. As you enter the Interpretive Centre, you could be forgiven for thinking you'd joined a cattle drive on the long paddock. The curved entrance comes to live The Roma Saleyards Interpretive Centre is open every day, including weekends, between 8am and 5pm. On Tuesdays from 8am until 11am, retired cattlemen volunteer their time to answer visitors’ questions about the saleyards and, more broadly, the cattle industry. Store Sales operate every Tuesday and although visitors are currently not permitted entry to Store Sales, the sound of sale proceedings can be heard.

Roma Cattle Saleyards, situated just out of town on the Warrego Highway, are a window into the real outback. Thousands of cattle are auctioned each Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year and visitors are made welcome. We felt that we were part of the action as we mingled with the jeans clad, stetson-hatted cattlemen. An hour well spent, wear a hat and proper shoes and what's more - it is FREE.

The visitors center was brilliant with lots of help. I did a tour out back of the Big Rig and came back for the Big Rig Night Show which was just a movie on the history of failures and the eventual success

Becks Chopping Board is a great cafe - coffee and breakfast are excellent. A very interesting place to visit.

It is worth a visit to St Paul's. The windows are stunning and the building lovely. Check the opening times. We were lucky to catch it open in the afternoon as it would normally not have been open. They were happy for us to have a quick look around though.
