I went over this Rande Bridge on a coach trip from Vigo. The bridge is a cable-stayed design, which spans Vigo Ria. The view from the bridge is great. You can see the Cíes Islands, San Símon island and appreciate the immensity of the Vigo estuary.

Castro de Trona

Reviewed By Noelia P - Vigo

This is a bit of a trek from the city centre and is set in the Parque de Estrellos. The house itself is interesting and there is also a small archaeological museum attached with interesting artefacts disinterred from around the city of Vigo. The park is a pleasant place to walk and we were lucky because the sun was shining. It was a slog up to the Plaza de America where we found a taxi to return us to the city centre.

Very interesting small museum that tells the story of the Battle of Rande and has information on local sea-life. It is set in an old seafood cannery. We saw a great documentary on squid and about the famous Rande battle.
Open during the weekend to the general public, during the week Reservations for school trips and similar can be made.
In the museum itself, Exhibitions about 17 century life and shipping are available. Interesting for the whole family.
