This is fantastic place to visit to buy good quality , local made crafts and clothing . A short tour shows the local women producing stunning wall hangings of various sizes . The staff and very helpful and you are not under pressure to buy . They have infinite patience and took time showing me a selection of craft work . I purchased an origan painting of a tiger , tablecloth and napkins plus T-shirts for my young relatives . They also have a wide range of silk for made to measure clothing . The prices were reasonable and it was good to know that the profits went to the co-operative . I left with many souvenirs of my stay in India .

We did 3 game drives and were very lucky and saw tigers each time, as well as lots of other animals (sloth bear, antelope, crocodile, deer amongst many others) and also beautiful landscapes and sunset/sunrises. On one drive in particular we were lucky enough to see 2 tigers playing, walking along and crossing in front of our jeep, wonderful. we appreciate we were very lucky as the tigers do not always want to be seen!

Recently I was on a week-long tour to Ranthambore National park from 10th to 16th November. I booked 12 safari drives through the official website almost a year ago. Had very hectic but enjoyable morning and evening safaris. It was an all-Gypsy affair. Confined within core zones i.e. zones 1 to 5 and 6. Presently the best zone is no.3 ( of course my personal view) where Arrowhead (T-84) is seen with her 2 eleven months old cubs regularly. This zone is the most beautiful with 3 lakeside. Sighting I of tiger in zone 6 is very frequent also. In near future this zone willb be very attractive as Tigress Ladli will be seen with her 3 cubs, presently almost 3 months old. Zones 2 and 4 are generally good always. Zones 1 and 5 are also good. It is always better to book your safaris well in advance. During this tour I had some splendid sightings which I will remember throughout my life.
