A stunning place to visit, a very friendly village, almost everyone was extremely helpful. The walks and the views are outstanding. Take the cable car up the mountain to the station June to September. Walk into the Vanoise National Park. It's a the very end of a long valley so not much traffic which makes it ideal for bikes too.

The view on the Valley, the glaciers of the national park, and the way back though this field full of rare and wild flowers… definitely worth the hike

This is possibly the best via ferrata in France. It is short but intense. There are a number of variants. Early on take the option that goes up along the edge of the waterfall, you might get a bit wet but it is sensational. There are three options in the upper section, if you don't take the cable bridge you cannot say you have done the Cascade de la Fraiche via ferrata!

The white lake is quite typical and also homemade. In fact, the characteristic of this lake is that he is cut in half by a stone path. This stone path was built by a farmer ( who is also mountainer Guide ). This passage was built for cows of all farmer. The stone was very beautiful because we can see on stone the passing of time. In addition, the passage is very amiable because you walk in middle of water as Moise. This lake call "the cow's lake" or the "white lake" because if you go in this place at winter you can see a white lake frozen with powder snow. More over when you are in the lake ( on a stone) you can also see the highest peak of Vanoise ; "la grande Casse" with its 3850m. And when the sun shine the white face of Grande casse reflect in the Lake, so we can also call "white lake". For finish, you can also make the ultra trail of grande casse ( 74km and 3850m), a big run or runners pass on the white lake.

Faire la randonnée qui monte du pont de de la pêche au refuge par le hameau de Montaimot est super sympa !
Prendre le chemin qui monte a gauche du Torrent , arrivée aux alpages avec comité d'accueil des marmottes !!
Ce week end de Pentecote fut ensoleillé et nous a permis de découvrir ce magnifique Panorama !
Surtout, ne pas hesiter a se restaurer a La Bergerie , aux Prioux ! La prochaine fois, nous irons manger la raclette au feu de bois , un soir !

Joli professionnalisme pour l'équipe de Favre Sports, enseigne Twinner, à Pralognan.
En été, j'ai loué par 2 fois un VTT Cross Country pour la demi journée.
Le parc VTT est très propre, que du matériel récent, de trés belle qualité, et parfaitement entretenu et réglé.
Ce magasin de sports est concessionnaire de la marque Scott.
Important choix de VTT, Du Cross Country avec fourche hydraulique, freins a disques et cadre alu, au VTT de descente, et du VTT Electrique aussi.
Bon accueil, prix conformes au secteur.
La station de Pralognan est plutot orientée descente comme ttes les les stations alpines, cependant la vallée de Chavière offre de beaux itinéraires en cross country.
Camping, Hameau de Cholliere, Les Prioux, Refuge du Roc de la Peche, alpage de Ritort, alpage du Mollaret d'en bas = 700 m de denivelé + en 2h00 sur des pistes d'alpages trés roulantes et régulières en dénivelé, descente 1h00 environ.

At the gate of "Parc de la Vanoise", you can discover the marvellous site of Pralognan en Vanoise from the sky. You just have to hire the services of a guy from the office of the guides to test paraguiding. A great experience with professional that offer you a wonderfull opportunity to fly!

Nous y sommes allés en famille mais un peu déçus car l'eau n'est pas très chaude.
Nous y sommes déjà venus 2 ans auparavant et notre récent était le même. Un peu dommage.
