10 Things to do in Porte de Saint Cloud That You Shouldn't Miss

April 8, 2022 Osvaldo Hartline

Lingering over pain au chocolat in a sidewalk café, relaxing after a day of strolling along the Seine and marveling at icons like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe… the perfect Paris experience combines leisure and liveliness with enough time to savor both an exquisite meal and exhibits at the Louvre. Awaken your spirit at Notre Dame, bargain hunt at the Marché aux Puces de Montreuil or for goodies at the Marché Biologique Raspail, then cap it all off with a risqué show at the Moulin Rouge.

Meet a French Artist

I let you into my studio in Paris for a unique painting session. A painting class, along with a delicious breakfast in my studio. Enjoy a few hours in a cosy and typically Parisian atmosphere. You can paint the subjet of your choice (flowers, Paris, bring a picture you want to paint ) All is possible, you are the artist ! But let's start with a yummy french breakfast served in a french porcelaine and talk about great French impressionists At the end of the session you will return home with your own painting and greats memories!

Edwige is a woman with amazing talents as shown by her own art work! She can host a painting session outdoors and brings the equipment OR in the comfort of her home. I selected to paint at her home as it was a warm week, she had morning tea treats and tea ready for me and was extremely accommodating. She has a lot of inspirational cut outs and books, however a tip is to go to her painting session with something in mind that YOU want to paint and that means something to you. I really loved this element of her session in comparison to other art classes which teach you how to paint a particular image which may not represent anything for you. I was in Paris for my honeymoon so I had an image on my phone of when we visited the Eiffel Tower just the day before which I wanted to paint so it would be a souvenir for our trip. Edwige has so many different paper sizes, all sorts of paint that you can choose from. I selected a smaller paper size so I could transport it back to Australia. I also selected water colour. Of course we sketched out the outline of the image first, and Edwige was wonderful in helping me modify the image to my liking, giving me tips along the way. You can see in the images the outcome of my painting. Thank you Edwige for helping me create something that reminds me of our amazing holiday, as this now hangs in our living room at home in Australia! I highly recommend painting with Edwige as a French Artist if you are looking for a relaxing and fun activity to give you a break from all the touristy walks around town.

Fantastic little stadium - walk up on the day and watch Stade Francais play rugby in the sunshine what more can you ask for. Good range of ticket prices and kids go for half price. Good atmosphere and the beer is cheaper than the local restaurants. What's not to like!

A really fun experience. Enjoyed seeing the fans go crazy and being a part of the action. Metro ride was easy. Security was great. Everyone was nice. One bit of advice, the seats are SMALL. Like TINY. I'm 5'3" and was packed in there. Don't bring a coat. There is no room to hold it or take it off. Luckily we sat way up high in the last row so we could stand!! Best "seats" in the house!!
