This temple is located near by aliyar dam. It is a very peaceful place. It has yoga center and rooms can be booked for lodging. Nice place to visit and learn yoga and our cultural values ffrom Maharishi.

Anamalai Tiger Reserve is a protected area located in the Anaimalai Hills of Western ghats. The Tiger reserve can be reached from Pollachi town in Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu state. Have to travel to Top slip from Pollachi to enter the Tiger reserve. Though it is Tiger reserve, the forest has most wild animals right from Elephant, Panther, Deer, Wild Dog, Nilgiri Tahr, etc in it. Further travel from Anamalai TIger reserve, you will enter in to Parambikulam Tiger reserve which belongs to Kerala state. Had chance to visit both Anamalai TIger reserve and Parambikulam Tiger reserve several times. Limited bus services are available.

You can drive up to the gate then the Indian bureaucracy kicks in, after filling in a million forms and hanging around for ages you are put on a government bus to do the 'safari' we were happy to have seen a rat snake, elephants and deer. The way up is leisurely then the bus races back down, as the driver appears to be in a rush to get back. There are also some pretty pointless stops along the way.
