I spent some time taking pictures of the different styles of temple art, and Buddha images as we worked our way up the stairs. I wasn’t prepared for the huge Buddha at the summit. Actually, both of them. Also the little Chinese pagoda at the entrance.

Must be one of the most impressive and beautiful temples in Thailand. Extensive grounds with a fabulous array of buildings, statuary and works of art. We were lucky enough to visit on a festival day so lots of decorating going on. Just magical.

Beautiful Wat built in a modern manna style. Park with concrete animals for kids to run around in. 30mins enough.

We heard about lotus flowers being in bloom this time of the year,December to January,so we took a trip up north and stayed in the Gate Way hotel.they offered free bikes so first thing we did was driving to the lake,which was just a 5/10 minute drive. The sun was just setting and the view was amazing! They,the staff showed us on a map how to get to the place where we could rent a boat,so the next day,an easy to find way ,we boarded a kind of local fisherman boat who took us to the flowers for only 50 baht a person,unforgettable . There were also lots of restaurants around the lake,it made me feel I was near the ocean.
