As recommended, we bought the Keuka Passports, which were a very good value. We visited 5 of the 7 wineries on the Passport. Our favorites were Hunt Country Vineyards, Vineyard View Winery and Heron Hill Winery. Especially enjoyed the Dry Rieslings. The scenic drive around the lake was lovely. We ate lunch at Heron Hill Winery, with good food and a great view of the lake.

Hunt Country Vineyards

The Hunt family has been farming west of Branchport, NY, on Keuka Lake for seven generations and started the winery in 1981. Our 170-acre farm encompasses 43 acres of wine grapes. The varieties under our care include Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Seyval Blanc, and Vignoles. We are the oldest continuous producer of genuine ice wine in the United States. Our wines have been served at the United Nations, ordered by the White House, featured in Food & Wine and on NBC's Today Show. We have nearly eliminated our fossil fuel use for heating, cooling and electricity by installing award-winning geothermal and solar systems. Our goal is to farm and make wine in ways that ensure the health of our land, water, and air for future generations.

Love the wines, especially the reds, beautiful views from porch, friendly and knowledgeable staff. BBQ food offerings just okay this time, but definitely will visit again soon.

Vineyard Views was our first stop on the Keuka Lake wine trail. This was our first time on this trail and in this venue and we were pleasantly surprised. The winery looks new, and offers amazing views of the lake and foliage. Their wines were good as well, and we left with several bottles.

Keuka Lake Outlet Trail

Reviewed By 251ceh - Port Dover, Canada

We were staying in Hammondsport and were told to keep our bikes off the Finger Lakes Trail. The Keuka Lake Outlet Trail is the only cycling trail nearby. It offers a variety of surfaces: gravel, rock, dirt and grass. Beautiful scenery and waterfalls along the way. There are more options for food and drink at the Penn Yan end of the trail. We were told the trail was severely flooded a couple years back, causing lots of damage. It has been fairly well cleaned up. For that reason I'm giving the trail four stars instead of three. Hopefully conditions improve even more.

Enjoyed visiting Anthony Road for the first time. Beautiful grounds, nice wines, and really nice staff.

We enjoyed our tasting; the staff was very personable and knowledgeable. They have some nice wines-we especially enjoyed the sparkling red which surprised us. It was a refreshing wine on a very warm (and sunny!) afternoon. Brought some home to enjoy later!

The tasting room has a very clean, crisp feel-it's bright and complemented with some cool iron works. There's a nice patio overlooking the vineyard, and a garden area with a grape arbor you can visit to taste some of their grapes. There are also some pretty planting areas filled with butterflies and flowering plants. Really enjoyed the setting, the wines, and the friendly, knowledgeable staff. I now know the difference between ice wine and iced wine, thanks to the young woman who did our tasting.

Recommend a stop here when on Seneca Lake-will return on our next visit.

Monello Winery

A Family Style farm Winery that focuses on quality dry to semi-sweet Finger Lakes Wine. Monello Winery prides themselves on top notch service, fabulous wines and a great gift item selection. This Ma and Pops Winery is a "must stop" on the great Seneca Lake Wine Trail.

My husband and I were spent a week on Seneca Lake in early May and stumbled on Monello as we were driving by. To our delight, the owner/winemaker Grace was doing the tastings, which rarely happens at wineries. In addition to the knowledge about her wines, Grace was just a fun and interesting person! We thoroughly enjoyed talking to her as well as the quality and taste of her wines. She does smaller batches and it is clear a lot of time and effort is put in to getting the wine right, which i much prefer over mass-produced, unremarkable wines. She also had beers available from a local brewery, which my husband enjoyed. I highly recommend checking out this winery! This is on our "permanent" list of wineries to visit while in Seneca. Thank you Grace for making our visit so enjoyable and fun!
