One word ....awesome!
Glad that we went despite the initial apprehension since the museum wasn't located at the city centre.
The trip was definitely worth it.
For those who grew up with Toyopet, Celica, Corona, Corolla, Volkswagen Beetle and a host of other vintage cars...this exhibit brings back memories.
Glad we were able to visit this museum and I recommend tourists to make a detour to see this awesome place.

この公園だけで1日過ごしても飽きることは全くない、というくらい、広大な敷地に様々な施設が取り揃えられている公園です。スポーツ施設や子供向け遊具は勿論ですが、何といっても広大な芝生は、有り余る元気を持つ犬を連れてくるのに最適ではないかと思います。但し専用のドッグランの敷地があるわけではありませんので、リードは離さずに持つ必要があります。
子供向け遊具は一か所に集中しているため、広大な芝生には遊具らしいものは見当たりません。だからこそ、ゆっくり散歩したり寝転がったり、またはフリスビーで遊んだりと、思い思いに楽しむことが出来ました。
アクセスにはほぼ車が必要です。バスで行くことも出来ますが、本数が多くないことに注意が必要です。
In this vast park, there are many facilities that you do not get tired of when you stay for a day. The biggest attraction of this park is the spacious lawn square. Although playing equipment for children is installed in one place, there is no plaything in this lawn square, I was able to move or to rest my body unconsciously.
The lawn plaza is perfect for dog exercise. However, there is no dedicated space for the dog run. You should not let go of the dog's harness in this park.
You can go to this park by bus, but the number of buses is few. To go to this park, car is almost indispensable.

城山公園内にある展望台のある公共施設。館内には展望室やレストランや歴史民俗資料室などがあり、入館料は無料で利用できます。９Fの展望室は標高130mくらいの高さがあるので眺めがかなりいいです。コーナーがノコギリ刃のようにギザギザ状になっていて、ほぼ真下をのぞき込めるようになってるのも良かったです。

This is strictly for totoro and Miyazaki fans. Otherwise, the attention to detail to recreate the house and its environs will be lost. We were the only non Japanese members of the group of about 10 pax, mainly Japanese moms with their kids. But we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the 30 min tour exploring the house, funding the staircase to the attic, mei's red slippers, looking through the wardrobe. Rather stalker and voyeuristic but perfect for satisfying our fascination with the movie. It was the highlight of my pre schooler's day.
We made the 50 min journey from Nagoya station to catch the park shuttle in time. Otherwise it would have been a 20-min trek in blazing 33 degrees Celsius

This is a very lovely old house with a beautiful Japanese garden.
The main drawback is that it is only open to the public on a few days of the year. At other times you have to go through a complicated reservation through city hall (which manages it) to rent the place. So its generally not a very good tourist attraction despite its potential.

尾張旭市の中心部にある公園。中世城郭があった丘陵地に「旭城」と名付けられた天守風のレストハウスや、「スカイワードあさひ」という無料の展望タワーがシンボルになっています。公園内は春は桜祭りがおこなわれ、彫刻作品もあちこちにあり、散策にもいいところです。

This zoo's admission price isn't too bad and they have lots of fun exhibits. They even have a lake where you can take a paddle boat out with a friend!
Overall, it's a great place to visit on a day when the weather is nice. If it's rainy not many people tend to visit, so if you prefer less crowded attractions than this might be something nice to do on a dreary day.
My one recommendation is to get a konbini lunch before you come. The food options aren't the best so, especially if you're a pickier eater, it's probably best to bring your own lunch.
