The Museum at EAA's World Headquarters is a history, aviation buffs must see. And, the gift shop will satisfy your desire for mementos or gifts. The Experimental Aircraft Association is the best organization going for the support of private (General Aviation) pilots, and is not limited to home-built aircraft. The extensive collection of WWII bomber art is, all by itself, worth the visit!

Hughes Home Maid Chocolates

We were introduced to Hughes by our neighbors several years ago and instantly fell in love with the light chocolate toffee. So much so that my wife and I decided to make a roadtrip to Oshkosh expressly to buy some Hughes candy for ourselves and to give as gifts. This is your quintessential small business, located in the basement of a home in a mature residential area. Amazingly clean and sophisticated operation. So many more kinds of candy than we knew until we showed up. Needless to say, we picked up a lot to make the trip worthwhile. I highly recommend this business and encourage you to check it no matter where you live.

This is an amazingly fun thing to do, even if you don’t manage to “escape!” Today we did The Lost Cabin, and made it out with six minutes to spare, although we had to get two clues! This was my fifth time escaping, and can’t wait to go again! I had to whine and cry and beg to get my family to take me for my birthday last year, and now we are all hooked!

We stopped over the weekend and were welcomed without a reservation. Although, I would highly recommend depending on what time you go. The instructor was nice, thorough and helped to easy my nervousness. We had a blast and will definitely be back.
