Oshawa (2016 population 159,458; CMA 379,848) is a city in Ontario, Canada, on the Lake Ontario shoreline. It lies in Southern Ontario, approximately 60 kilometres east of Downtown Toronto. It is commonly viewed as the eastern anchor of the Greater Toronto Area and of the Golden Horseshoe. It is the largest municipality in the Regional Municipality of Durham. The name Oshawa originates from the Ojibwa term aazhaway, meaning "the crossing place" or just "(a)cross".

So how do you record a visit to share with others and remember back home? Take pictures! Why does this place forbid non-flash still photography? Copyrights? The walls, furniture and such are copyrighted? Somewhat of an odd explanation. Maybe the film companies that use this place have "exclusive" rights?
Anyway the tour was pleasant, The guide was cheerful and shared a lot about its owner and family.
The Gardens were OK but not stunning or picturesque, just pleasant rows of a few species of plants over and over again. The auto robotic lawnmower was a sight to see though.
Bring your walking shows and there are stairs to climb. But leave that camera turned off!

The Canadian Automotive Museum has old cars. Quite a lot of old cars. Near priceless antique cars. There is so much of Oshawa's history tucked into one building, that it is most definitely worth the time. Budget at least an hour and a half, but...MoreThank you - We're glad you enjoyed your visit. Its a store for locals. We were told to 'go back to the city' while shopping there by one of the workers. We are not townspeople and they know who is local and who is not.

Was a really great show, the Music could of been a little louder , but over all "great"
The Center was full, I've been to a few other shows at the center and lots of great seats, you can buy pop, popcorn , nacho's , beer and wine, and not to bad for prices.

Lakeview park is beautiful and very big,its great for family picnics.Being right on lake ontario makes it even more beatiful.They have July 1 celebrations,autofest and ribfest.Sufficient parking except during special events,but there is parking within walking distance on those special event days

My wife took me here last year for part of my birthday celebrations.Entry cost was very reasonable (can't remember) and they had an excellent selection of exhibits. I have particular interest in WW1 and WW2 and there was some really neat militaria to see there. And of course the highlight is getting up close and personal with the mechanised armour. If you go on the right day you can see them operating the tanks on the field in the back.

Always has new art. Alot of modern art in there. A nice classy cafe above the gallery. The staff are always helpfull and polite. This is a great place for anyone to try once. Art Lovers will love it !!

Our friends have been here several times and invited us to go on June 11th. Lovely peonies but for those going next year please beware of shuttle bus service. We were left stranded yesterday. Given the heat and visitors not knowing Oshawa streets, we were left hot, tired and lost. Some elderly patrons were stuck in the heat too. Perhaps the driver left his post early. We never received an explanation why the bus never showed up on Sunday. Please don't rely on this service so that your visit stays positive.
We also visited the arena to see the competition results some of the organizers were doing some kind of inventory at the time and were quite rude to those of us trying to admire the flowers. Isn't that why you invite people? To see and admire the flowers? Not to chase them away rudely. The outdoor display was lovely but these too experiences leave a negative mark on the experience and certainly a POOR impression to visitors.

We really like Abba and this show was top notch. Enjoyed it immensely. Having a live band was excellent. Changing of props was also handled well.
