The Stevens-Coolidge Place

Enter a world of early 20th-century country elegance at a former farm-turned-estate, where refined interiors are complemented by an array of lovely gardens.

We were lucky enough to visit the gardens on a beautiful day and cut some flowers that are great. Free parking across the street, not crowded and nice place to spend some time relaxing. A few had a blanket and chairs set out and were enjoying the space. And they had games left out for kids to play with. Enjoy it.

I love the animals, the feeling in the air there filled with excitement, also the dozens of fruits they let you pick are awesome, and the Cider Donuts they sell are one of the best tastes in the world.

I took my Girl Scout troop here for a year end event. They were able to pick from a list of menu options for a 2 hour cooking session. It was a hands on class and every girl was given the opportunity to chop, slice, mix the ingredients. The instructors showed how to safely use the tools (knives, graters, zesters...) before assisting the girls. They also explained what the ingredients were, why they are used and how experimenting with herbs & flavors can be fun. I watched a roomful of kids eat ricotta cheese, basil, and spinach without hesitation! All 12 of my Juniors had a blast and were so proud of their cooking abilities. All the parents reported back that night or the next day how much their daughters loved it! Many of them asked to cook dinner for their families using the recipes they learned. The staff was amazing and really organized. They kept the girls engaged and listening and learning. The kitchen & prep area was spotless and food handling safety was enforced. I will definitely return for more classes with my daughter and my friends (Taste Buds Kitchen offers adult cooking classes as well as cooking camps for kids during holidays & summer).
