I enjoy American History and Camp Nelson does have an interesting history from the time of the Civil War. In the past they have had re-enactments in September which can also be informative. The home that is there has a walking tour that shows life from the 1860s. And the museum has a small gift shop, a short movie and many displays to remind us of our heritage.

Valley View Ferry

Reviewed By U4129FJjerryc - Lexington, United States

An essential way for people to get back and forth across the Kentucky River but also a fun short car trip on a pretty afternoon. The ferry ride is free thanks to local governments and a great scenic trip between Lexington/Nicolasville and Richmond Kentucky. Two cars ar a time slowly go from shore to shore. The area on both sides is true Kentuckiana scenery and people watching and relatively isolated.

Just back from Movie Tavern and the place is the same as before with one great exception. Still very clean, still great sound, great picture, cold drinks and comfortabel recliners. But the BBQ Chicken pizza is back on the menu. This is the best BBQ Chicken I have found anywhere near Nicholasville. Movie tavern is also a part of Marcuss Magical Movie group, so there are nice rewards as well. There are a number of discount days and events for the family.

Indoor Trampoline park

Reviewed By SouthernTravelingman - Stanford, United States

We visited there for our cousins bday party. The facility was clean and lots of fun with many different activities for kids. They even have a section for 4 yr olds and under, which we thought was a good idea. Racheal was the manager and her and her staff were helpful and friendly. You need to register yourself when you walk in as the parent/guardian over your child. That is good for one year. No snacks were sold at this time due to COVID.
