Pre buy your tickets from hotel get there early to avoid big queues and then the machine breaks down at the turnstiles to get on the cable car.All 4 attendants didn't have a clue what to do.They just looked at each other lost. There is no plan B when plan A fails. Its like something out of the dark ages. After waiting nearly 30 mins in a queue on the crowded staircase and everyone frustrated they decided to manually open the barrier and place the ticket in a box they found and let everyone thru. How the simple mind works?
Did it once wouldn't do it again.

My wife and I recently visited this historical site while in Nha Trang. Built between the 7th and 12th centuries, this sight is still actively used by Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cham Buddhists. Architecture is unique for the area. A great tour guide really makes this sight interesting.
Well worth a visit when in Nha Trang

Two rude guards at the entry refused us to visit this church. He said because of the regulation said tourism group more than 20 people have to book before one day. I told him we are only 5 people. We supposed to free to visit with the rules. He said because of you are Chinese so we don't trust you with a very loud voice. I have to say the guard broke my impression of Vietnamese. I traveled to more than 20 countries and this is not the first time I came to nha trang. This is the experience I have never been treated.

Having checked its website, we booked bus shuttle and a spring swim for a day out (80k+150k VND). The bus schedule was not well punctual, picking up around the city area, then changed into middle size bus. The staff provided folk show - they played and performed well. We skipped the pig race and cock fighting and went straight to spring swim and enjoyed longer there. Quite a natural environment, without high expectation, we were not disappointed. Good for family day out.

"Blue sea, white sand, golden sunshine" is exact words about Doc Let Beach. The waves roll smoothly so you can swim easily. You can even float your body in the water. Very relaxing!
Doc Let beach is about 50 km to the North from center of Nha Trang city. You can go via taxi or hire a car to go there. My recommendation is to stay in Nha Trang city, then go to Doc Let to enjoy a whole day since there is nothing than the peaceful beach. I stayed at White Sand Doc Let Resort & Spa. But you don't need to book a room there. The resort allows you to enter with a small fee for ticket.

We visited a friend in Bai Dai (i.e. Long Beach) who owns The Shack Restaurant and Bar. Lovely spot for some Grade A people-watching on loungers in shade, sipping on something cold and eating some local snacks (i.e. chillie "snails", quail eggs, etc.). The warmest water in the ocean that you ever swam in! Stunning place, didn't want to leave!

Long Thanh Photo Studio

Long Thanh's photographic repertoire is unique as its wide-ranging. His landscapes are often moody, contrasting the natural beauty of Vietnam with the continuing struggle in people's daily lives, while Long Thanh's portraiture captures the essence of the Vietnamese people, especially his high-contrast pictures of old people who have witnessed more than their fair share of tradegy over the generations.

I visited the gallery after missing the opening hours of the Yersin museum and it was a great decision.
After wandering around the exhibits, Long Thanh himself appeared, ready to go out on one of his daily strolls, armed with two of his favourite cameras.
We had a 15 minute discussion about the changes he'd seen during his lifetime in Vietnam; compared our cameras, and took a photograph of each other.
Made a wonderful experience truly unique.
