Lucy Robbins Welles Library

Reviewed By ragiansanti34 - Staffordshire, United Kingdom

The Lucy Robbins Welles Library is a fantastic library. Newington is really lucky to have this gem. They have everything - study rooms, a community room, magazines, newspapers, plenty of cozy nooks to sit and read, books and CDs on languages, DVDs to rent, access to computers, used books for sale and much more. There is also a community board right when you walk in, to find out what events are happening in the area. If I were a local I would be taking advantage of this amazing place, weekly.

Iwo Jima Survivors Memorial Park

It doesn't take long to tour this little site, but it's an emotional experience as well as being educational. In this day when it's national news when a few of our service men or women lose their lives overseas, it's astonishing to read about the staggering number of people who's sacrifice did so much to bring an end to World War Two. It will help you to appreciate the few veterans of that war who are still with us. I live just down the street, and I'm embarrassed that it took me a few years to get around to stopping by.

I started bowling with my son for Special Olympics and we have bowled every Sunday that we could since. The staff is friendly and does everything in their power to help families have fun. The food there is good and the pro shop has everything you need for the sport. I highly recommend this bowling alley to anyone looking to bowl!

Brickhouse Bar and Grill

Reviewed By Farbonium18 - Connecticut, United States

Every so often you get real lucky and find a really fantastic place to enjoy a libation and have some really great food, The BRICKHOUSE is one of those places. The moment we walked in and were greeted, it reminded me of the Cheer lyrics "Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and they're glad you came....." We were never there yet patrons as well as staff greeted us! The location is centrally located with plenty of parking. It has plenty of T V's with comfortable seating and an area to enjoy a game of pool. There is also a comfortable deck. The owner John is very involved in your experience and a great cook! The menu is a bit limited but more than ample with great food (see photo). A must try are the Burgers, Chicken Wings and Chicken Quesadillas. When it comes to the bar, Kelly is the very knowledgeable and pours the perfect drink. The inside as well as the outside are kept very clean and inviting. This is definitely an enjoyable Pub and a MUST try - you will return as we will!

Laser quest had been a birthday destination for the kids for years – – now that they're older, we no longer do the birthday party option but instead just go for fun! Really has the best lasertag set up in the area; two floor layout with lots of nooks and crannies and lots of space to run and hide. They added the escape rooms later--A total blast! There is a small arcade to occupy you between games and nearby food and drink options for before or after. The staff is excellent, and the customer service top notch. Will continue to go back again, and again, and again……
