The mission of the museum is to teach and educate about the cost of freedom and honor those who paid its price.

This place is neither sincere or genuine as a private not for profit, it profits a great deal from the community & the image it portrays. I suggest a true military museum at Gowen Field or the armament museum at the Old Prison in Boise. See for yourself.

This is a lovely oasis close to town and rightly popular with the locals. We enjoyed a walk through the visitor's center where we learned about the creation of Lake Lowell, the area wildlife and were able to watch nesting osprey through a high-powered telescope.

The park is still good, the dogs still love it and have the time of their lives. However, there is a ton of dog poop that is not getting picked up and a few people insist on bringing females dogs that are in heat. Rules, people! Please read and abide by the rules.

Sawtooth Winery

We visited this winery and enjoyed the time we spent there. They have a decent selection of wines they produce, with most of them being reds. The wines we tasted were quite good, the price per bottle was acceptable for the quality they offered, and the woman at the tasting room was well informed about wines and wine production.....something that's missing from some winery tasting rooms. Good job to Sawtooth....keep up the good work!

Never miss an opportunity to attend any event sponsored by the Music Department. We have attended many concerts and musicals and have always come away with how professional their productions are. We took friends to two of the Christmas concerts this year and they were in awe. The fact that they also partner up with the Boise Philharmonic speaks volumes to their quality.

Wilson Springs Ponds

Reviewed By 1olddude - Nampa, Idaho

I used to live adjacent to these ponds and still frequent them. The ponds are stocked and maintained by the Idaho Fish & Game. There are several ponds linked together by a green belt system. These ponds include 3 ponds for general fishing and 1 that is a trophy catch and release pond. Wilson Creek runs through the property and can be fished as well. The nearby fish hatchery stocks the ponds regularly. They have a Historical Stocking Report that is online and will inform you on how many fish have been stocked and when. The creek is stocked as well. The fish generally run 10"-12" however larger fish are occasionally stocked.

A number of folks just walk around the area on the paved walking path. The area is scenic and actually appears more remote than it actually is. There are a trees and foliage on the property. There are a number of fishing docks that are built over the water for fishing. Day use is free apart from a fishing license if you are fishing. Their headquarters borders the property and licenses are sold there Monday through Friday. No overnight camping, parking is ample.

A hidden gem in Nampa! You won't be sorry! Super fun. Plan to spend a while looking and walking slowly in the store. They have three rooms of antiques, just plain weird stuff and steam punk items. They have a few artists that create and sell their steam punk items in the store. Every time I stop by they have new items. Awesome, friendly staff to help you. Large assortment of vintage toys (Star Wars, ET, etc.), kitchen wares, old tools, suitcases, board games, jewelry, school items, Valentine cards, lunch boxes, Christmas items, large assortment of owl items. They carry stuff I've never seen before in other antique stores. Too much to list! They also have a face book page and an email news letter. Their oddities are in the case as you walk in. Two headed weird things! And don't forget to check out the old Indian guy in the back. He's been sitting there for awhile. Get your picture taken with him.

I know all places have rules...some are just a little overboard...was at Idaho Center for high school wrestling meet..been to a lot of these over the years...metal detector and bag search..really..no outside food or drink..at 3 dollars for a bottle of water..expensive...no idea what food cost as i wasn't going to spend the money for water...they did let the wrestlers bring in food but for spectators no...i guess they get to make the rules but gouging people because you have a captive audience is just not right..was a nice place to hold the meet...
