Beautiful, photogenic castle visible from faraway. Absolutely best attraction of Orava region. Visit in winter takes 1,5h and during main season can take more than 2 hours. With or without kids, nice place. In the winter take warm clothes as inside can be more cold than outside :-)

I've been to this place many times as a child, and I love coming back as an adult. Museum shows you perfectly how people liveed ine area a=years ago. They also organise "museum nights", with bonfires, and storytelling (staff who creates is is very friendly and love to share stories about the region).
Worth a visit!

Babiogorski National Park

Three days of hiking at Babia Gora
Day one: Zawoja-Small Babia Gora; Day two Zawoja-Big Babia Gora, Day three. Walk above Zawoja.
During a long summer weekend, it was of course quite crowded. And the mountain is for sure not as easy as it looks from below. On day 1 we started in rain and had some sun when at the top. On day 2 we started in sunny weather, but on the top it became quite chilly. So don't underestimate this moody mountain, which otherwise with a good map offers some good variants to the main routes taken by most visitors.

Plte na Orave

Reviewed By LAUisr - Rishon Lezion, Israel
