This museum is so much bigger than you would expect. They hold community events, special displays, and even houses a nostalgic ice cream parlor behind the building. The adjoining park is a perfect place to have a moment of play for the restless kids, and a nice family picnic. Definitely a place to visit!

Naches Heights Vineyard

We didn't realize that our tasting fee would be waived with the purchase of a bottle (per the previous review). We decided to go to the tasting room next door (literally the next building over, not next plot of land) while we decided on what we wanted to purchase. Had we known the fee would be waived if we paid all at once, we would have done that.

The tasting room was nicely laid out with three tables with stools. There was a chalk wall so our boys drew. The tasting fee was 3 wines for $4 and you could choose from any wine on their sheet. I didn't count but there were about 8 or so options. The gal rinsed out our glass between tastes. The Can-Can was $14 and the rest ranged from $18 to the low 20s if I remember correctly. For some reason the labels reminded me of the vintage art posters you see in Italian restaurants--punked up.

Their hours were extended until 9pm which was nice. Sunset was at 8:45pm so I suppose you could walk the trail toward Cowiche Canyon and watch the sunset.

I have been on a few Wine Tours over the years .... But never had the Pleasure of an Experience like this! Eric spent a Great amount of time helping my Husband Plan an Anniversary Surprise for me....and was I ever Surprised!
Eric is very Knowledgeable, not only of Wines but also in the processes of making wine. He works hard to tailor the Tour to the Customers wants. The area is Beautiful in scenery - so many wineries but Eric took is to very Friendly and Beautiful establishments with Views of the Mountain and City below.
I must say that I purchased lots of wines but was Happy to hear the winery choices are by just that Choice not any kick backs... That made this Tour even more Spectacular due in part to the Personal attention at each stop-
Wine tastings and extras like Paired Cheeses and standard pretzel- cracker fare were all Wonderful Surprises. Eric was sure to stop at an Amazing Family winery at lunch time- Grat views Tables under umbrellas and Tree Canopies where we indulged in hand made stone oven pizzas...., ......hard to describe something so amazingly Delicious that paired well with the wines for tasting-
( of course we indulged )

We highly recommend Eric and Wineries Express for a relaxing day filled with laughter and Great Conversation- Yakima area is full of Superb Wines-
Even the Sparkling Winery was a treat .,,,, do plan a visit soon to the area and give Wineries Express a call.
Thank you Eric for creating an Amazing Memory for us!

Another good one for getting the kids on the trail. Very little elevation and fun adventure going through the cave. There were also many butterflies around when we went. Bring water. It's warm/hot and dry in the summer.

Great setup here! Lots of fresh fruit, veggies, baked goods, and home made bath/beauty products. We got a huge sack full, plus a few amazing cookies, and were shocked it was only $13! We didn't get to pick fruit because nothing was available, but we were able to stroll through the orchard and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly, helpful, and answered all of our questions. This is a definite weekly trip for us.

Hause Creek Campground

Reviewed By Jaishrie - Redmond, Washington

During the weekend we camped at Hause Creek alongside Tieton River. Our campsite was 22 but figured out that site # 17, 18, 19 were the best. On the recreation booking site, the site map showed this site to be behind the restroom, but actually the restrooms are pretty far. The campground has lot of privacy between adjacent sites.

When we reached there, we were welcomed a small snake that slithered around our car and then finally vanished in the bushes! Well, that was the only wild creature we saw. The other regular visitors were only squirrels and butterflies.

There was a fire restriction in place so we could not use our charcoal grill or have campfires. Thankfully we had our propane gas single burner stove so we used that. Lesson learnt, always carry gas incase of fire restrictions or have ready-to-eat food.

I must alert you if it is your first time to the place, that the roads are very windy after crossing Mt. Rainier park and may cause some nausea. Guess, best is to follow the speed limits and be at 40 mph at the turns. The roads being vacant for stretches, one may get tempted to accelerate and reduce travel time.

The restrooms are the flush toilets and were clean but do remember to take your handwash.
We went to Rimrock lake recreation park and did some photography there. There is an off-shoot from US-12 a few miles away from the campground where you can drive leisurely and enjoy the view and stop at will for the clicks! Of course at some places, there are the "Rocks" sign. We even found an elk in the middle of the road. The road is about 12 miles long before it reconnects to US-12. There are many hike trails around.

There is Rimrock grocery about 3 miles from the campground in case you wish to buy gas or snacks. It is open till 10 pm.

We had a great time at the camp. I posted lot of pictures on my blogpost: http://jaishrie.blogspot.com/2014/07/river-side-camping-hause-creek.html
