Rising on sunrise air to greet the sun is an unforgettable experience. For one hour we floated over the magical hinterland, avidly admiring the lush terrain, green hills and “the green cauldron” with views to Mt warning volcanic Caldera and further north to the coastline as far as the eye could scan.
The staff were superb at ease with their balloons and handling newbies with delicate and praiseworthy care. saw a lot of guys on bender knee doing the proposal bit. call me a softy, but that is nice.

The setting, atmosphere & service of the bar area/club are fantastic. The restaurant (which is contracted out) is where we were let down. We booked 2 months in advance for a booking of 20 people. Guaranteed the little restaurant was busy but for our first order to come out an hour & half later after ordering and asking where order is is not on! When ordering whole table wasn't put on one order docket so meals came out staggered. Food overall was average, cold or over cooked. Staff in restuarant (all but one who obviously can't work under pressure) were helpful & friendly. Will be back to visit club but will be hesitant to eat in restaurant

Minyon Falls

Reviewed By bobjanh - Brisbane, Australia

Minion Falls, in Nightcap National Park, is a bit out of the way but well worth visiting.
We went via Bangalow, taking the Lismore road and turning right at Binna Burra about 10km out of town towards the village of Federal: from Federal the falls are well signposted.
The roads are narrow but sealed - drive slowly - with just the last couple of km within the park unsealed, but in good condition: suitable for a 2WD.
When yo enter the park, an information board is located at a fork in the road: the falls are about a km to the right and Minyon Grass 500m to the left. Go here first for a spectacular face on view of the falls that can not be obtained at the falls proper. There is ample car parking, toilets and picnic ground facilities.
At Minyon Falls, the viewing platform is at the top of the falls, looking across them and down the 100m drop into the valley below. A pretty path heads upstream to a crossing of the creek feeding the falls: worth wandering along. For the more energetic, this path continues to the base of the falls and on to Minyon Grass - about 4.5km. Another day perhaps.
You can have lunch in the picnic grounds at the falls car park. We chose to drive on a couple of km to Rummery Creek campgrounds: a pretty spot with facilities as well as a pleasant short drive with a creek crossing.
A great place to visit.

Byron Bay Gyrocopters

Reviewed By Ozy M - Mumbai

We took a scenic gyrocopter ride at Byron Bay and were overwhelmed with the experience. It was just amazing and special thanks to Oli for making it so informative, and special.
Having already walked around Byron Bay's famous lighthouse, we were well acquainted with the landscape - but viewing it from the altitude from the gyrocopter was another experience. Oli also pointed out shipwrecks, schools of fish and jumping dolphins!!! And yes, you even get to drive the gyrocopter on your own as Oli guides you with his experience.
If you are at Byron Bay and want to do something extra, this is a brilliant experience!

The weather was perfect calm, flat waters and bright blue sky's, we enjoyed numerous whale sightings, mothers and calfs, seemingly playing together, breaching generally showing off, right in front of the boat, some even swam along side
There were only 12 guests on the boat so everyone got the chance to sit upfront and a joy the whale spectacular.
This is our 3rd whale watching trip ( Hervey Bay, Jervus Bay) this was by far the best, my husband is already planning his next trip !

The crew at Blue Bay Divers really looked after us and made sure everybody was comfortable with the sea conditions before committing to a particular site.
Their policy of using larger tanks for the first dive to give customers a longer experience is great for the divers, but it means the crew has to work harder during the surface interval. Even with the extra work, they were able to do the little things like taking note of a diver's preferred height of the BCD on the tank. I've never seen anyone else pay that much attention to detail, and it was appreciated.
I look forward to a return visit soon.
