Roozengaarde Display Garden

In 1985, RoozenGaarde was founded as a small showgarden and retail shop. With this addition Washington Bulb Co, Inc. was now able to reach out to the many individual flower enthusiasts and gardeners who wanted direct access to WBC’s great products. Flowers and floral arrangements are available every day of the year. The gift shop is also stocked with Tulip Festival merchandise, gardening tools and books, and unique gifts for the home and garden. The original showgarden has grown to over 3 ½ acres and is annually planted with over a ¼ million spring flowering bulbs. Included in this count are 85 different varieties of tulips, 25 varieties of daffodils, plus varieties of hyacinths, crocuses, and irises. Every flower is listed in our bulb catalog (and online!) which is available for visitors as they stroll through the garden. We encourage visitors and home gardeners alike to come check us out to simply enjoy the sights or see what ideas you can take back home for your own flower beds!

Visited this garden when the sun was out! Parking is very well organized. Friendly staff. Everything was muddy - but they try to keep it a pleasant experience. The display garden was surprisingly open and saw some new flowers there. Fun to watch the artists painting. Walked around the fields - glad we had our boots on. There was a drone hovering above the tulip fields even though they are not allowed.

Tulip Town

Reviewed By ReaderPat - Sioux Falls, South Dakota

I visit my sons in Seattle once or twice a year for 3-6 weeks. This past spring I planned an April trip so I could see the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. I love flowers and was enthralled while touring Tulip Town.

We went through the indoor flower show and watched a mural artist working on the mural behind one aisle of the show. There are several specialty gardens. There are 14 countries represented in the World Tulip Summit Society Garden. There is a Veteran’s Memorial Garden, a trial garden with the new varieties available by catalog, and a windmill display garden.

It was a wonderful day, and I would definitely return.

Very surprised when I walked in the door to find such a wide variety of food options. Many accompaniment products and a very nice fish case. I ordered a oyster po'boy and was very happy to find it was not cooked beyond recognition!! Excellent sammie, fair price and congenial service. Certainly worth a stop.

Children's Museum of Skagit County

The Children's Museum of Skagit County has 11,000 square feet of exhibit space filled with hands-on, interactive learning activities for kids of all ages! The mission of the Children's Museum of Skagit County is to promote, encourage, and increase an understanding of the arts, science, culture and literature among the children, youth, families and educators in Skagit County and beyond.

This children's museum is small so there aren't as many things to do within as with larger ones but they have packed it full of fun learning experiences for kids. It is great for younger kids but I don't see it being as appealing for the older ones. We have done birthday parties there and gone just for a fun afternoon of play. My youngest is 4-1/2 and really enjoys it.

Price is reasonable for the size.

Have attended numerous shows at this remodeled Theater. Wow. Enjoy it all. The seating area is very comfortable and easy to access. The snack area does stop the people from entering the place and since it is such a great place to come to, the locals tend to stand in this lobby and visit.

Skagit Shooting Range

Reviewed By Tyr L

Pardon the pun in the title, but it literally is a blast at this amazing shooting range. I have been to many shooting ranges over the years, but this one has "shot" to the top of my favorites list. It is very clean, very well lit, and downright spacious. The employees are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly. They had no problem with letting us use our own ammo after a quick inspection to make sure it was safe to shoot on their range. My son and I shared a lane and had a really great time. The target rail system is all electronic, and very modern, with several distance presets that functioned flawlessly. You can purchase ammo and rent several different types of handguns, all at prices consistent with other ranges. The pro shop is very large and well equipped, and the lobby area is comfortable enough to hang out in if you had a short wait. Several classes are offered here as well as memberships, which I would not hesitate to purchase if the location was closer. I hope the owners reproduce this magic farther south in the region, but for now, adding it to part of a day trip means I will definitely go back.

Great spot to get pumpkins, family friendly farm with lots of tractor rides, hot cocoa, farm store, animal petting zoo, vistas of the surrounding landscape. They have two main areas to explore and you could easily spend a few hours out there looking at the agricultural beauty. Will be back next year!
