Mooloolaba Beach

Reviewed By elbee4wd - Sunshine Coast, Australia

We just love walking along the sand each morning at Mooloolaba Beach. First stop is the little coffee shop (Hustle and Flow) under the Surf Lifesaving Club. A lovely Turmeric latte, a sit on the wall watching all the lifesavers doing there morning routine and general people watching while we finish our drinks. Then it's off down to the waters edge for a walk along the wet sand and out to the spit and back. What a way to start the day.

Had a couple of hours and managed to fit in a swim at Maroochydore beach - Love it.
The surf was rubbish but still a good time. The beach is clean and the facilities are top class. I was surprised how close I could park - got a park right near the beach.
After swimming in other counties I really appreciate the Aussie Beaches and the way that they are maintained and presented ...

Buderim Forest Park

Nice little walk at Buderim. There is damage on the boardwalk walk at the moment from a storm however everyone was ignoring signs and walking along the rocks of the creek instead. Would recommend it and taking a picnic lunch. Just note for oldies and those unstable on their feet to avoid the walk until the damage has been repaired.

HMAS Brisbane

I dived here shortly after the Brisbane was purpose-sunk, and dived it again recently with Sunreef. Amazing dive. Great to see how the sealife has made the wreck its home. Lion fish, grouper, Nudibranchs, anemone fish ...... Great visibility on my dives, and a reasonable current. The wreck is easy to penetrate, with nice wide openings. A really great experience.
