A beautiful beach where we even found it relatively easy to park close by, and there is the choice of the town as a back drop with cafes nearby or you can sit nearer the point where the River Minho joins the sea where there are trees behind the beach. The only downside of the beach is that even though we were there in August the sea is freezing!

The Torre do Relogio is an ancient, 13th-century Clock Tower found in one corner of Caminha's delightful town square. It is an impressive piece of masonry and, yes, the clock appears to still keep good time. The square boasts a Fountain and a decent number of cafes. It proved a wonderful spot to sit, have a coffee, relax for a while and watch the world go by.

Amazing ruins of an ancient tribal village spanning the slopes of a mountain in Northern Spain. Santa Tecla Celtic Village clearly displays celtic village life.
The uncovered ruins are a sight to see obviously each hut is connected to the group sharing a partial circular wall. They appear similar in size bases constructed of local stone with central gathering areas.
Couple of hours for sure to walk among the ruins and take in the areas sights.

the Folon Watermills, all 5o+ of them, are an amazing sight in a beautiful setting in the southern cormer of Pontevedra Province (no the city of Pontevedra) near La Guardia. They are signposted from the coast road (also spectacular) from Baiona to La Guardia. The walk, up one side of the hill and down the other, takes a couple of hours and there's a great bar at the bottom.

Very nice Palace to visit in some hours with family, friends or just a romantic walk thought the property.
Situated in the road Arcos de Valdevez - Monção, this Palace is a story teller from this location, there is a main entrance and you can park the car inside and after get a ticket (7.5€ per person, includes palace, wineyards, and the hole property), you can experienced the way the owners lived back in the days. The staff are very friendly, and of course, the visit are guided by them, who give you all the details about the palace and all around.
The private owner, actally lives there!..and also there is history with that, as the guide will tell you.
They still producing their wine and spirit, witch you can also taste and buy.
Very pleasant place to visit in a quick afternoon!

Agostinho designed a half day tour for us, combining a traditional cornbread making session with a donkey walk to see the local water mill in action.
We enjoyed learning how to make cornbread in Carmen's farmhouse kitchen with our boys (aged 9 and 6), and then walked over the hill with the youngest on Agostinho's donkey to see how Carmen milled her corn cobs into flour. It was amazing to see the mill in action, not just as a museum exhibit. Then it was back to Carmen's yard for a lovely picnic lunch of our cornbread, cured meat and local honey.
Throughout Agostinho was a friendly, knowledgeable guide generous in sharing his expertise about the village, the Minho and the challenges facing Portugal's rural communities.
We had a brilliant time - and would recommend for any families or travellers wanting to see a different side of Portuguese life.

Great church where you can see the old church of the XV century. Has the image in the ceiling of Jesus and the statue of Santa Luzia. The city is a small town with very traditional church’s and square.

This is a beautiful park along the River Minho. It is a short day trip from Raxo, Vigo and other cities in Spain. It has everything from jungle gyms, to rock climbing walls to a splash pad area.

As far north of Portugal as you can go there is this beautiful place Valenca de Minho.
Unspoiled breathtaking views of the River Minho and of Spain as the river acts as the border with Spain.
The little town itself is build within two ancient walls (these walls are a must see) with lots of beautiful old buildings to view and many souvenirshops with typical Portuguese products.
The people are friendly and speak Portuguese and Spanish.
One of the many nice places in Northern Portugal. A must see!
