Museo Sol del Nino

We took our boys ages 5 and 8 years old and they loved it! Not only was it fun, but it was also educational. The museum has attendants at several of the hands-on exhibits to either explain or assist. I didn't rate it 5 stars because there were a few exhibits that were out of service. Highlights were the gyrosphere, rock climbing, and IMAX theater! There is also an arts & crafts area. The museum is clean both inside and out. The landscape is well kept and there were plenty of Seating areas. The kids also enjoyed the outdoor playground Oh, and they have birthday party packages if you would like to host a party. Admission for only the museum only was $3.65 per person ($60 pesos) or $6.69 per person ($110 pesos) if you get the museum and IMAX package deal. They're open Tuesday-Sunday (CLOSED ON MONDAY'S) from 10AM to 6PM.

More than a casino is an entire entertainment center.
The top slots of the city, very different brands and great fun.
Besides the facilities are very elegant and classy.
The food is very good and performing activities and raffles are very original. I have not seen anything like this in Mexico.
They have the best Rewards program in the country
Excelent and very professional service
For lovers of nightlife Arenia has its own nightclub called "Classico" open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Es un espacio que debería estar mejor aprovechado. No abundan los espacios culturales, y creo que cada vez aumenta la oferta y demanda de las Bellas Artes. Falta promoción y ofertas continuas y que sean de interés para grupos de todas las edades.

This Place is around 40 minutes outside of Mexicali and it is like a regular small mountain , however for my surprise this is an OLD Sleeping volcano which is related to the San Andres Fault. As you may know there are small earthquakes in Mexicali,
No body know when this volcano will turn on, so far I was lucky enough so for the first time a sleeping volcano

Canon de Guadalupe

A rough trip over 37 miles of dirt road is rewarded by this isolated desert oasis. Greeted by members of the family who have owned the oasis since 1840, the campground is unique. Each campsite features its own spring fed hot tub. There are some amenities such as flush toilets and a little store...a very little store. We forgot to bring plates and our hosts picked up some paper plates for us on a run to Mexicali. I don't recommend forgetting anything though. We lucked out that they had planned to drive out for supplies. We had two very different types of experiences at the oasis. The first few days were during the week and there were very few people, super quiet and peaceful. The weekend had a full campground and there was a lot of people. But really fun and friendly. One of the highlights of our visit was an impromptu volleyball game. Mud bath is fun. You jump into a pool of black mud, wipe it all over you body, wait 3 minutes in the sun and then go and scrub and scrub in the shower to get it off...exfoliation magic. The big pool is great. The waterfall is well worth the walk. But go early to avoid the dangerous heat of the day. Our hosts saw us leave, but didn't see us come back. They came to check on us right after sundown to make sure we were safe. Do NOT attempt to drive here without a four-wheel drive or SUV!! My Subaru Outback did great. It is a little expensive but worth the money. Bring enough water! Keep in mind that this is desert heat and you will need to be careful to stay hydrated. We lucked out and the full desert was in bloom. Awesome beauty. Great sunsets and sunrises. Just beautiful. NO INTERNET OR CELL PHONE SERVICE!!!

Nice shopping mall/plaza, away from the border so you get more of the local feel. We like going to the movies and walk around. There is a food court, Starbucks, an arcade for the kids a Casino for the adults and all the normal businesses you find at a mall including a Walmart.
