The gallery will present a great challenge for creation for the island of La Palma. An opportunity to enjoy and contemplate works by artists of different generations and trends. A gallery ”house” which will have an area of 300 m2 where young as well as established domestic and foreign artists are welcome. A project led by Vicente Garcia de Diego and coordinated by Ana Brigida.

Las Manchas Wine Museum, set in the beautiful farmland of Las Manchas de Abajo at Los Llanos de Aridane, is located on the grounds of an old country house which used to serve as home for the schoolteachers. If you wish, you can sample a wide range of La Palma wines in the Museum, buy high quality craft products or find ouy about places of interest in the township.

A spaceship of a building, this modern design contrasts with its content;the early history of the first people on the Island - which predates Stonehenge. Interesting displays, that could benefit from more of an explanation. We particularly liked the reconstruction, and design of the original inhabitants stone huts. Some of the significance of the exhibits passed us by - probably due to the language barrier. Worth visiting.

Interesting landscape shaped by the past volcanic eruptions, from which molten magma flowed in a variety of directions and formed crusts or in this case tubes. It was all dependent on the intensity of the flow, and the consistency of lava, as well as how quickly it cooled. The whole area is a bit of a moonscape - virtually nothing can grow in the barren rock, as there is no ground soil - all water just simply soaks away. Interestingly, some vines are cultivated here, but require intensive cultivation, watering to produce quality grapes.
