Decided to take my wife to the movies one night while seeing family and friends in the Netherlands. Took the VIP treatment (2.50 EURO extra per person) and watched a movie in very comfortable seats, great sound and high quality screen.
The only thing that really annoyed me is the stupid break halfway the movie. Is that really needed?

SpaSereen

Reviewed By Ike-rangel

My girlfriend and I find that this is the best spa in the area. But we believe the my should raise the prices, at the moment there are a lot of people going and not respecting the rules of silence. The staff seems not to take measures, so instead of feeling relaxed and quiet, it feels crowded and noisy.
The premises are very good and the food is ok. Not the best wine selection though.

Castle-Museum Sypesteyn

Reviewed By seolram - Leiden, The Netherlands

This castle isn't as old as you would expect it to be, well... at least the fundaments are old: they date from about 1500. But the castle as you see it today was built at the beginning of the 20th century. But the Junker who rebuild the castle with the original bricks, did this with flair and a lot of knowledge about Dutch history and architecture.
The tour through the castle takes about one hour and is very informative. You get to hear everything about the old nobel family of Sypesteyn, see familyportraits, porcelain, old furniture and art.
The garden really is lovely, do take a stroll through the orchard and enjoy all kinds of exotic trees.
Nice to know: the castle is also a weddinglocation!

I enjoyed the "CUBAN ART NOW" exhibition at Singer Laren. The museum is currently undergoing some construction-work expanding its theater and the sculpture and flower-gardens will be planted by designer Piet Oudolf and opened summer 2018.At the moment of my visit the sculpture Gardens were temporarily covered with lawn to show the ELEFANT PROJECT. I enjoyed seeing the work of contemporary Cuban artists like Jose Emilio Fuentes Fonseca(JEFF),Ibrahim Miranda,Flavio Garciandia,Alejandro Campins and Raul Cordero. There was an exhibition of work for sale by local artists from Laren village as well.

Bonnema Watersport

Reviewed By Toni H - Munich, Germany

Last weekend I had the chance to go sailing with my girlfriend at Loosdrecht. Therefore we got Bonnema Watersport recommended by a couple of our friends. And indeed we felt immediately really nicely welcomed in a family atmosphere. Sanne, the daughter of the owners, introduced us in all details of the Valk (aka Falke) sailing boat. Absolutely helpful and dummy-proof was the A3 sized map with a picture guide, how to motor to the right spot for start sailing. The whole day we enjoyed sporty sailing conditions in a top maintained boat. We had so much fun, that we will definitely go back to Bonnema Watersport quite soon. Maybe also due to the fact, that they are really much cooperative & supportive.
By the way: Beside sailing boats they also rent other types of (sloop, motor, rowing) boats.

We celebrated our son's birthday here with his friends and some family members. It is a lovely location. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks (there is no on site restaurant or shop). Only downside: I find it too expensive, but have to applaud the fact that the birthday boy could play for free.

This very famous Dudok's building is a wonder of creative harmony between the horizontal and the vertical lines in a very rich composition. Look carefully at the details, like the bright blue, dark red and gold ceramic tiles, giving life to the Colonnade and the side entrance.

Explore the Dutch Lake District near Amsterdam in a unique way! SUP stands for Stand Up Paddling. Touring with a Stand Up Paddling board is a great opportunity to see hidden paradises in our lake district. With our tour we guide you through our nature reserve and you will see things you will never see when you travel by road. During the tour there is also a possibility to swim. Photos are included

Ik Sup is a place where you can rent a sup-board (paddle board), take lessons or join an organized tour.
They are located in a marina, from there it's a short paddle to the nature reserve where you can spot birds, water snakes and if you're really lucky: deer!
Their Halloween-tour is legendary and their monthly full moon sup is awesome! They also offer yoga-sup-classes, which are still on my wish list. If you book a lesson or join a tour: be sure to ask the owner Ingrid to bring her dog. This dog will hang out with you on your board. Or: just bring your own dog, mine really enjoyed a puppy-sup!
