Hartley's Pork Pies

Reviewed By jaguar05

The fact that Hartley's has been in business for over 100 years attests to the fact that they put out quality products. I used to live about a mile from the tiny store, but now live an hour away. This unfortunately limits the frequency I can enjoy their pork pies (my personal favorite). They have other pies, but the pork pies are absolutely wonderful. The spices are on the mark and there is just enough juice in them to make them a really pleasant snack or meal. Check their hours. They are not open every day and close when they sell out. Highly recommend.

Sunset Stables

First, it should be said, we do not leave reviews for anything, ever. Our time at sunset stables was so phenomenal I have to share. We are a family of six with four children ages 9-13 who had never ridden before. Our 13 year old has Autism. I am completely blown away by the care, consideration, and accommodation shown by the family who runs these stables. We felt safe and confident after thorough individual instruction and had an absolutely amazing trail ride with Steven (who was super informative and helpful, and was sure to check on us, my 13 year old especially, frequently throughout the ride). We even saw a baby deer and his mom up close, breathtaking! I can’t say enough and I can’t thank them enough. If you love someone with special needs, you understand. Amazing place, we highly recommend it, especially for families with children!!!

Before writing this review, I made several trips to Twin River Casino in Rhode Island to see if the level of service was consistent…. and I'm happy to say it has been! From the moment I arrived, the valet service was always fast and friendly, with the valet employee welcoming me, and wishing me good luck. My table game of choice is blackjack. From my first visit to my most recent, the pit bosses have always been welcoming and friendly and helpful in explaining where I can find the exact blackjack table that I am looking for. On every visit, I can confirm that Twin River Casino definitely has the best dealers in New England, as they have been awarded that title from Card Player magazine 5 years running. The dealers have been friendly and know their games that the deal for very well. They cheer and root for you when you win a hand at blackjack, and make it bearable for the times you lose a hand. I find that some of the dealers I have experienced at some of the Connecticut casinos appear to be just there to deal and collect winnings. Twin River dealers make things fun and exciting!
