Thus, it is situated between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The population was 7,591 at the 2010 census. The city is located about 1,000 feet (300 m) north of its namesake lake.

Lovely place to visit, lots of walking trails and beautiful all seasons of the year. Great to run or bike through or visit with kids. There are ponds with frogs, turtles, fish and geese. No catching animals or fishing, but super fun. Great in the fall when leaves are everywhere.

We found this park just off the Centennial Trail by accident. It has nice paths to walk, some waterfowl, picnic tables, some wheelchair accessibility and some history to read about. The water was very low when we were there but still a nice place to spend a little time. It is in what appears to be a quiet neighborhood with little traffic.

Mirabeau Meadows is a great park for families and couples. Lots of sidewalks and trails, the waterfall is gorgeous. The water play area by the Y is so fun.
I miss walk in the wild zoo but, it's fun to walk and reminisce about walking there from school.
Picnics to walks it's amazing. Great bbq area for gatherings as well.

This park offers wide, well marked hiking trails. The hiking is easy and great for families. Foot-bridges, streams, and waterfalls make the hiking fun and interesting. There are lots of places in the park to have a picnic lunch under the huge shade trees.

With 5 main slides, plus a toilet bowl slide and a small kids area, this park is good for young kids. It does seem a little outdated, several spots on the slides are worn and have tree limbs/ branches overhanging the slides. Needs a face lift/updating.

This mostly paved 37.5 miles has become an iconic activity for biking, walking, kayaking and roller-blading to name the major activities.
We started this trail from our downtown hotel, the Doubletree. Going east we ran into Gonzaga University. Going west we ran into Riverfront Park and downtown.
Riverfront Park makes the half way point of the trail. Don’t miss seeing the famous Spokane Falls which can be seen from both the trail and park.
If you have time, a walk through Gonzaga University is delightful. By the McCarthy gym is the large statue of Spike the Bulldog. Eight thousand students call Gonzaga home.
At the time of this writing, major renovations and additions were being done along the trail downtown. A detour from the trail is River Park Square mall. The vertical architecture is quite mesmerizing.

Liberty Lake Golf Course is an 18-hole newly remodeled championship public municipal golf course located in beautiful Liberty Lake, Washington (18 miles east of Downtown Spokane). Redesigned in 2008 and opened in 2010 the $6 million renovated facility boasts a 6607 yard par 70 layout and is a fun challenge for all skill levels. Players will enjoy white sand bunkers, large greens, and water as they experience a marvelous new golfing creation. Liberty Lake utilizes a grass tee driving range with targets and yardage indicators. Separate chipping and putting areas allow players to hone their short game skills. After playing your round come enjoy great food and your favorite beverages in our wonderfully remodeled inside and out clubhouse facility. Come experience Spokane County's newest golfing gem.

Started going here a year ago. Mostly hackers so expect some long delays at holes. They have been doing work on it this spring so not all that pretty. Ther greens are very hard and fast.
You do get a couple of holes to really drive the ball if you want.

Up North makes their own spirits and cocktails from those spirits. They also sell beer, wine, and liquor all produced in the Northwest; Montana, Canada, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. MeadowWood Golf Course is an 18-hole par 72 championship public municipal golf course located in beautiful Liberty Lake, Washington (18 miles east of Downtown Spokane). In 1985, the land on which MeadowWood Golf Course sits was used to grow alfalfa, wheat, and grass seed. With the generosity of Jeslyn Morris Schultz and in the interest of conservation, the Schultz family donated 150 acres to Spokane County on which to build MeadowWood Golf Course. MeadowWood is a Robert Muir Graves designed, Links style golf course. Opened in 1988, MeadowWood is mainly an open course with strategically placed trees, bunkers, and water features. With a varying set of tees, it can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels. The course can be played as short as 5709 yards or as far as 6900 yards for those golfers who want to be challenged. Golf Digest once ranked MeadowWood "One of the Top 10 Best Public Golf Courses in the State of Washington". Along with a full service restaurant and pro shop, it will be hard to find a better value or experience anywhere else.

This was an absolutely gorgeous golf course. The lake and water features really add to the whole appeal. The price is also very reasonable, yet you feel like you are at a fancy resort or country club.
Note: 9 hole and 18 hole prices are the same come the weekend, so you might as well plan to do 18. It will be worth your while, as the back 9 is the most picturesque. The steady climb up holes 16 & 17 will leave you in awe, only to be capped off by the great view atop #18 as you hit downhill to the final green.
Snackbar and drink prices are reasonable too. The staff at the pro-shop were also wonderfully friendly and made our visit worth it.

I had a wonderful visit! The displays and pictures really helped me see how amazing melons were grown and why they were so outstanding. Spokane Valley is a lovely place to live.
