Isla de Garraitz

Reviewed By AlbertSalichs - Manresa, Spain

Isla de Garraitz is an island located in front of Lekeitio, a coastal town in Bizkaia Region, in the Basque Country. It is a very beautiful island, where you can arrive by walk in the low tide, it is a very curious experience, because you can walk in the middle of the sea (only few centimeters above) surrounded by waves. Also, when you arrive here you can go up to the higheat point in the island, from where ypu can see probably the best views of the old town. Wonderful experience, best in low tide. Puerto De Lekeitio

Reviewed By Matildea

This is a very picturesque port with plenty of boats, cafés and restaurants if you want to find them. Very quiet when we visited but that was its charm. If some wants a busy port (st tropez) you are in the wrong location. The buildings are pretty, quirky and unspoilt.
