This is an ancient and interesting complex of churches in a lovely part of the city. The great age of the buildings invites a mood of contemplation and if you are lucky enough to be there with few other visitors it is possible to really feel the history.

Partendo da Cavi di Lavagna abbiamo fatto una escursione x arrivare a santa Giulia attraverso le "creuze de ma" non utilizzando le strade asfaltate. escursione bellissima e bella sorpresa quando siamo arrivati alla chiesa. Il selciato è tutto fatto a mosaico con sassi di vari colori, l'interno è semplice ma ben tenuto, e sopratutto il Panorama da lì è splendido. Da ricordare che Santa Giulia è il paese di origine della mamma di papa Bergoglio.

A very nice place close to everything. In front of train station, 100 mt far from the center, immediately outside the touristic port of Lavagna. It's possible to walk for almost 10 km near the sea, visiting some monuments, drinking and eating and relaxing. The most beautiful zone of the city.

We stayed in Lavagna for 3 days to hit the beach and Cinque Terre. The beach in Lavagna is really nice and family friendly. There are several underground railway crossings to provide easy access and the boardwalk restaurants are abundant. AS all location on the riviera there are public and private areas on the beach.
Bring all your beach gear and enjoy.

After seeing pictures of the interior, I wish we had gone inside. We happened upon this church while we were walking around Cavi. The guilded Jesus on the front is one of its most unique features. We just stopped to take a few pictures and rest a minute before going about our walk.
