Lagonisi (Greek: Λαγονήσι meaning "rabbit island") is a seaside residential area in the southern part of Kalyvia Thorikou in East Attica. It is situated close to the shore and on a peninsula by the Saronic Gulf. Lagonisi is located approximately 30 km southeast of Athens and 35 km northwest of Cape Sounio. Being filled with luxury homes, beaches as well as a 5-star hotel that lie within the Saronic, it is one of the most expensive areas in Attica Prefecture. Restaurant facilities, cafeterias and bars are located mainly on the heart of Lagonissi, close to Kalyvion Avenue (the road connecting Lagonissi with Kalyvia Thorikou).

I had 3 dives in 2 days at Aqua Divers Club and it was such a pleasure. Sadly the plan was to have 4 dives but a storm was coming and they canceled our 2nd dive on the first day - but this is only a plus in my book. Then you know they are serious about the security. On the 2nd day we only was 2 diver but ADC still provided 2 dive masters because we had very different level and therefore I still got some very good dives. The area is also very beautiful and the visibility was 30-40 meters.

A big open air movie theater just 40km from Athens center . Full of greenery ( jasmine and Bougainvillea ) you can drink your draft beer eat a hot-dog and see a movie under the stars! Great image and sound to.

Thoroughly enjoyable day...entrance fee may be a little on the pricey side but facilities are just great. We pre-booked our sun loungers online, which is to be recommended in high season or weekends, this beach is popular. Kayaks and paddle boards for hire at 20 EUR an hour. Motorised water sports available too.

Dive center located close to Athens in very niceness spot. Helpful and friendly staff. They did detailed interview with focus on security and experience. 300 horsepower inflatable boat is fun on itself. Small shop is well equipment in necessary stuff and gadgets.Thank you very much Αrtur! We enjoy diving and we always feel happy sharing the experience with fellow divers. Hope to see you again soon!

This is a unique destination in Athens Riviera, located 25km from Athens. I can not say enough about how wonderful Andreas and Beyond Athens was in organizing, customizing and making every aspect of our tours in Greece exactly what we were looking for and so much more.
9 of us arrived on multiple flights from the US between 9 and 10am. Andreas and Yorgos were waiting for us at the airport with 2 cars to start our tour. We didn't want anything too taxing, as we had just had overnight flights from the states, and we couldn't find a listed tour that we felt would work for us, Andreas created a tour for us!
Our tour started with a private tour of the Vorres Museum, which is typically not open during the week. A beautiful museum with traditional Greek art, Mediterranean garden and the authentic Greek village buildings. It was lovely!
Then we went to a Papagiannakos Winery, where we had a tour and an extensive sit down wine tasting, which was great. We were also able to stock up on some Greek wine to enjoy for our entire trip!
We followed this by going to a private house with a beautiful view of Cape Sounio and had a traditional Greek lunch, where anyone who wanted to help could help prepare lunch, and those that wanted to just chill and relax with a glass of wine & enjoy the scenery could do that as well. Nadia (our host) was so welcoming and entertaining. We could have stayed here all day!
Finally we went to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio, which was breathtaking. On our way back to our villa when we told Andreas we were having company that evening (we were in town for a wedding and were hosting the bridal shower that night!) he arranged for us to stop and pick up some food, pizza and beer before returning to our villa.
So, the customized tour was great, but that is only where Andreas started with making our trip a grand success! So, we did not realize how difficult it is to get a taxi in Lagonissi on the weekends. So, about 2 hours before the traditional Greek wedding that we have come all the way to Greece for, we call for a taxi. The taxi service tells us the 2 taxi's that work Lagonissi are in Athens and will not be able to take us to the wedding.
Panic sets in. Not knowing what else to do, we contact Andreas to see if he knows any taxis. Andreas to the rescue stops what he was doing (swimming on his day off with is son) and comes to our Villa to pick us up and take us to the wedding! He literally saved our entire trip, as if we had missed the wedding it would have been a disaster!
The Monday following we did another custom tour, which was a mix between a traditional Acropolis tour and the Random Athens Tour, so we could see some of the major parts of the Acropolis, but also get into the 'real' parts of the city. Yorgos got us to a great authentic greek restaurant Paradosiako, which had phenomenal food.
If I could give Beyond Athens a 10 star rating, it would still be less than it deserves! They truly went ABOVE & BEYOND!

The vouliamegni peninsula is heaven.
After you've done the Acropolis and Plaka and need an escape, but can't get to the Islands, spend some time here.
I usually spend my last day on Vouliagmeni beach since I need to fly to the US the next day.
Between 5-8 euro (depending on day of week) for two loungechairs and umbrella.
