10 Things to do in La Sagrera That You Shouldn't Miss

September 22, 2021 Tonie Szymanski

Barcelona feels a bit surreal – appropriate, since Salvador Dali spent time here and Spanish Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí designed several of the city’s buildings. Stepping into Gaudí’s Church of the Sacred Family is a bit like falling through the looking glass - a journey that you can continue with a visit to Park Güell. Sip sangria at a sidewalk café in Las Ramblas while watching flamboyant street performers, then create your own moveable feast by floating from tapas bar to tapas bar.

A village plaza atmosphere in the city of Barcelona, where locals gather have wine and coffee, children playing in the fountain and running about. Locals are friendly and very welcoming, and even though I’m posting a review of this I hope not too many tourists make their way here as part of the charm is it’s neighbourhood, almost small town vibe. Tips de Vi at one of the corner is my recommended spot with excellent selection of wines from Catalunya.
