First of all I would highly recommend booking this excursion to anyone who is planning to go to Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This company treats you like family and they give you a personal experience like You never before experience, from the very beginning to the end. We booked the Land and Sea Excursion. Our guide Andrey came to pick us up from the hotel and bring us to our destination....the Salve Terra headquarters and explained along the way what will we doing. We took the Polaris along the rugged country side and learned about the area and the people living there. He explained that some of the money the company gets from us is going straight to the community, charity and the schools. After the ride he took us to the privet beach where we met some of his coworkers. Andrey and Oscar took us on the boat to go snorkeling. When we got back to the beach there was a delicious lunch waiting for us set up under the tree by the beach with amazing views. My family and I will remember this experience forever....this excursion was worth every cent we paid.

From the roadside meeting point, there is a nice 45 minute stroll through the dry tropical woods to the zipline station. On the hike we saw spider monkeys, howler monkeys, four sloths, some natural honeycomb that had fallen from a tree (!) as well as several interesting local plants. Very cordial guides with a remedial but sufficient knowledge of natural history. The ~12 or so different ziplines ranged for short to long, with a few of us trying the 'superman maneuver'. Fun time in the jungle!

I took 3 lessons with Costa Kite. The company was organized, punctual and flexible and the beach where they instruct is excellent. I have taken several lessons in Hood River, USA and found the Costa Kite lessons far more informative and beneficial. The instructors were very knowledgeable and were able to help me make considerable progress over the three days I spent with them. I would highly recommend anyone looking to learn or improve their kiting skills use Costa Kite!

Traveled in December 2016 for 9 days of kiting with the girlfriend (who was taking lessons). The staff is great and very helpful and friendly. Lucie and Kent are wonderful hosts and are actively available day and night. Betty and her family have taken over the restaurant and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, so no worries if you don't feel like cooking breakfast! All amenities were working properly and I was impressed that Kent was working on improving the availability of free wi-fi while we were there.
The vibe was the true joy, though. Staying in the cabinas, I thought I would miss out on the camaraderie of the kite house and was pleasantly surprised to find it very easy to socialize with my cabina neighbors (we all share nice covered patios to lounge, eat and socialize). Of course, you are always welcome to go down to the kitehouse and socialize, as well! :)
I consider Kiteboarding Costa Rica the best value for the money and certainly, they have the prime location, as the other two kite schools utilize vehicles to arrive at the same beach.
Important, stock up on water and beer (and food as you see fit) in town before arriving at Kiteboarding Costa Rica as there are no convenience stores within walking distance. (Although you can always catch a ride with someone who has a rental car or take the public bus). You are provided with a functional working kitchen with small refrigerator and coffee maker. So for the budget-conscious, you can literally cook all of your own meals.

Plus Papagayo Tours and Transfers

Plus Papagayo Tours and Transfers was founded with the goal of providing all tour packages in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Central America, we specialize in tour guides to Nicaragua we are pioneers in this colonial tour to Nicaragua.

Reviewed By Shashikant B - Germantown, Maryland

We took Plus Papagayo tour for Nicaragua day tour. The tour was well organized with nice spots including visit to live volcano as well as Granada city tour.
The breakfast they provided is excellent where as the lunch restaurant is not that good and the time for restaurant was little late ( around 2:00 pm) so if you have medical condition make sure to keep some snacks/fruits with you.
The return time is close to 9:30 to 10:00 PM and they do not stop for dinner nor it is provided so make arrangements for this in proper manner.
Overall the tour cost about $150+ per person which includes breakfast, lunch, transport and guide. The time spent at the border is too much. In Nicaragua they do accept US dollar so no need to make exchanges
