Very pretty village with nice restaurants and shops - well worth a visit, or ideally stay a few nights. Nice cove on south side to swim in.

Worth a visit - hard to hike (12 km round trip from Baska), easier to use a boat taxi to the location.

Kosljun - Monastery Museum

Only 750 meters from Punat lies the islet of Kosljun. It is known for the Franciscan monastery. The islet has a museum with an ethnographic collection. The monastery also owns a rich zoological collection of a large seashell and unique animal specimens, such as the one-eyed lamb. The monastery also has a rich library with around 30,000 titles. It includes the Ptolemy's atlas printed in Venice in 1511 (one of the three preserved copies). The monastery is a zero category monument.

I am glad that was able to visit Baska during my visit in Krk island. The town is amazing - great combination between nature - sea, wild rocks on the right and green mountain at the left! Beautiful sea It is remote but worth visiting
