I went to this rather small and little known museum in one of the outer suburbs of Moscow one lazy afternoon and was very pleased that I did.
Among the surprises I found there was that this is one of the camps where the commander of the German Sixth Army (defeated at Stalingrad 1942-1943) was held and presumably interrogated by the NKVD and high ranking members of the Red Army intelligence service.
It is promoted as a re-education camp where Fascist officers were weaned away from Nazism and came to understand that Bolshevism and the Soviet State were not as bad as they believed -- and perhaps they might change their allegiance.
Subsequent Reading about this camp indicates it also had a much more sinister side and perhaps among the estimated 60,000 foreign national prisoners who passed through it was Raoul Wallenberg, the famed Swedish diplomat who disappeared after being arrested in Budapest by the advancing Red Army.

Vegas is a shopping place like no else in Moscow and area. It has all you need for shopping - all brands (except the most fancy ones - and in Russia it may be smth you wouldn't expect to be too fancy in the US, so don't be surprise to not see any Ralf Lauren here, for instance).
It has all a kid would want for fun, it has an amazing cinema with multiple options, including VIP zones. The cinema sells movies in auto mode, by the way - use the sort of vending machines to order the tickets and popcorn if you will, and pick them up at the self-service store. It's also a fun experience if you're in the right mood - and you should be - you're going to a cinema after all :)
Anyways, the place is totally recommended, and if you come across any other Vegas mall around Moscow (there's only one other by now), don't hezitate - go in and have fun!

История храма уходит в 17 век, когда в местечке Губайлово была построена церковь в честь Знамения Пресвятой Богородицы. Церковь неоднократно перестраивалась, в начале 20 века была разобрана, но вновь отстроена. Во время войны 1812 года в церкви располагался госпиталь. В советское время церковь закрыли, в ней было общежитие, затем - учреждения. В начале 90-х годов 20 века началось восстановление храма, стали проводиться богослужения.

As it is hidden in the old neighborhood near the riverside.
Go towards the end of the nice riverside alley, then continue along the water, and eventually will reach the place - as I did during a casual jog session.
Your standard Russian derevnya church, with yard and a small monument in front of it...

Этот храм расположен в городе Красногорске на Волоколамском шоссе. На мой взгляд это самый красивый Храм в городе.Красивый фасад и богатое внутреннее убранство. Жители Красногорска часто посещают этот храм. Здесь есть воскресная школа, многие дети посещают ее и поют в хоре.

I am not a skier but wish I was.
Here in the middle of a blistering Moscow summer is a little bit of the Alps. We went just for a look and had a coffee and cake while watching the skiers hurtle down the slope only to go back up by the chair lift and do it all over again. If you are a DOWNHILL!!! - skier and have your own kit, or are rich enough to hire it, this is a great place to visit. If not then you can do what we did, pay a small entrance fee and sit in the café and watch them at it -- including an amazing one legged guy who took it all in his stride. Up and down he went, fine tuning his technique.

Отличные магазины, особенная ностальгия по магазину в Красногорске (сейчас по ряду причин у меня нет возможности часто его посещать, к огромному сожалению).
Глобус мне нравится всем: в первую очередь, разнообразием, ассортиментом готовых блюд, качеством, оформлением самого торгового центра, широтой проходов, удобством, наличием отличного ресторана и тд... Кстати, в предыдущем отзыве писали, что в ресторане используются продукты с истекающим сроком годности из магазина, это неправда: ресторан делает заказы поставщикам отдельно от ТЦ.
Мы посетили красногорский магазин после почти годового перерыва и я с радостью отметила, что его уровень не упал, как это часто бывает с другими торговыми центрами от времени. Продолжаю любить и считать лучшим магазином.
