I first visited Gene in 1970. For several years I helped him pick up pumpkins, tons each fall. Our kids and grandkids loved going there over the past 46 years. Gene has tractors (orange of course) the kids can check out and often an unbelievable array of pumpkins and squash you can handle and buy. (GREAT FOR PHOTOS OF THE KIDS!). You can also buy honey from bees that fed on pumpkin blossoms and a very practical little cookbook. Best of all - have your kid talk to Gene! Gene loves kids and HE IS MEMORABLE! You buy a memory when you buy from Gene (and the pumpkins are good too). Don't forget to snap lots of pictures.
