Very authentic building - house of a wealthy family. Has many original features. Museum inside is excellent. All walls, doors, windows whisper history. Walking through this place gives one a sensation of being in some time machine, outside reality.

The Burilin Ivanovo Historical Museum is considered to be one of the best Russian provincial museums. Its origins lie in the will of the Ivanovo-Voznyesensk manufacturer, Maecenas and collector Dmitriy Burilin. The Museum opened to the public on 26 December 1914. The design for the museum was produced in neoclassical order by the architect Pavel Trubnikov. The materials for the building were very expensive, some of them were brought from Italy - coloured tiles and mosaic for the floors and marble for the main stairs. In his work under the collection Dmitriy Burilin was trying to bring Russian province nearer to the treasures of the world culture. In several decades (from the late 19th - to the early 20th centuries) he created the unique collection of items, which covered a wide chronological period from antiquity to the early 20th century. The collection includes books, China, painting, weapons, numismatics, objects of decorative and applied arts and many other things.

Great collections for a regional museum.
Downstairs - collection of birds, animals, plants, even mushrooms of the region. This helps see and identify what's around in the fields and parks around.
All original fittings are of superb quality. White ballroom, huge astronomical clock, antique book collection, coin collections and weapons display. I was first a bit apprehensive to see all these weapons, but with the detailed excursion, there was much history and art in it.
Beautiful, enriching, enlightening, inspiring place.

Монастырь расположен в г. Иваново и по меркам города является достаточно большим. Монастырь женский. Построен из красного кирпича-уже чуть потемневшего и имеет темные купола, что создает немного мрачное впечатление. Внутри церковь очень красивая. Роспись, иконы- завораживает. Часто во время службы поет хор.

Очень любим гулять в этом парке, который расположен не далеко от центра города. Огромная территория , бушующая зелень, прекрасный пляж и дорожки для прогулок, катания на лыжах и коньках в зимнее время и площадки для волейбола летом. Есть аттракционы для детей . Кафешек только маловато

Приехали в собор в морозный солнечный день. Очень красивая белая церковь с голубыми куполами и чистый белый снег вокруг в лучах солнечного света - совершенно неподражаемая картина. А когда входишь внутрь, теряешься: где более красиво - снаружи или внутри. Везде. Посмотрите сами.

Приятно что именно где-то можно посмотреть на тех кто играет роли для смеха. А не вопреки жизненной действительности. Цирк это место где ты можешь восхититься и влюбиться, ощутить превосходство над самим собой, позавидовать и разочароваться. Цирк это место преображения и восхитительной способности менять обычную жизнь на волшебную, безграничную казалось бы. Но по факту усердно отработанную и по считанную с математической точностью.

We heard about this museum by pure chance. I have to tell you it is totally worth visiting! It's not big but you'll get a perfect idea of what Soviet car industry was like back in the day. Volgas of different models and years are just beautiful! They were restored by professionals and a lot of them could go on the road straight from the museum :-)
The guy who met us there could tell us a lot about the cars and their history so we were amazed not only by the good looks of the cars :-)
The tickets are cheap (kids under 6 go free). Even detailed tours are available but since we just walked in we just enjoyed what we saw and heard.

Обычный сквер, ничего особенного. Ухоженная территория, памятник Аркадию Северному и скульптура таксы. Рядом одно из первых кирпичных зданий города Иваново. Специально ехать не стоит.

Очень рад, что удалось посетить музей. И очень огорчен, что только один раз. Там очень хорошо, и очень не хотелось уходить. А что касается отзывов об убогом провинциальном музее, третьесортных художниках... Вообще, конечно, и комментировать не стоило бы, но не в каждом городе и даже стране есть Эрмитаж или Лувр, а Коровин, Грабарь, Бенуа, Врубель и т. д. давно ли стали третьесортными?
