I’m not sure how this castle is so highly rated; perhaps I’m jaded from having seen too many awesome Castles elsewhere. It is beautiful from the outside, but there is very little by way of grounds, so you’re basically going to photograph it from the parking lot. It was a bit confusing about where to go from the parking lot, as the gate is closed and it is not obvious you need to push a button to get in. There is a building next to the parking lot that seems like it is where you’d buy tickets, but in fact you need to go into the castle to get the tickets. This isn’t just me being stupid; I watched car after car pull up, its inhabitants hop out, then wander around confused a bit. OK, onto the inside. You get an audioguide – you go into a room, see the room number, press the button on your audioguide, and listen to a chat about the room – this is how all audioguides work, right? I did not see any numbers for a long, long time. It was not clear where to go or where to start. I eventually decided that I should start with number 1 and enter the open door. Eventually when I got to number 8, I figured out where I was compared to the audioguide. Finally in room 14 I saw the first sign – it seems impossible that I could have missed the first thirteen signs, I mean really?? But even then, the displayed numbers were not in the right order – you really have to keep track of what number you are on, because the number in the room didn’t necessarily match the audioguide! What a hot mess. All of that being said, you really only get to see a handful of rooms, and I hate to say how I really felt about them, but I thought they were drab and dull. It feels like it was decorated a few decades ago, there’s nothing ornate about it, the paneling has been painted. Even the dining room table setting was just “blah”. I didn’t take one picture inside (and since I took about 700 pictures on my trip, that is saying something). I think it took about a half hour to go through.

Practically there is only one museum in the premises. The setting and explanation give you an idea on how life was centuries ago. We downloaded a coupon for 1+1 to save on entrance fees.

This is a very impressive structure indeed. It's definitely worth the detour to Dinant to come and see this.There are lots of things to see inside, including trenches of WWI. The view of Dinant from the Citadelle is breathtaking. And what is really convenient is that from the Citadelle, and included in the price, is a two-way ride on the telepherique to the city of Dinant. So you only need to park the car once at the top. There is no time limit as to when you have to come back up. Don't miss it!

I have no idea how they produce the amount and variety of beers they do using the old school methods and equipment in this brewery. It is very interesting to see that newer is not always better. The tour is informative. Limited beer sampling as well, no food. You might be confused when you first pull up but "Yes, the brewery really is that small." Nice, quick diversion.

A huge park with tons of thing to do and see. Many Playgrounds for kids of all ages, large ponds with row boats, BBQ facilities, places to eat, places to pic-nic. Tennis courts etc etc. A great place to spend the day. If you live in Belgium you may consider getting a season pass for your car as this is the best deal. But if you go just for one day it is also well worth the visit.

Avant cette visite je ne connaissais pas vraiment l´intérêt du lait de jument, et maintenant je sais que ce type de lait est la solution pour les gens intolérants au lactose. Le lait se peut acheter à la ferme, mais en Belgique on le retrouve également congelé chez Delhaize.
La visite de la ferme est trés intéressant, surtout parce qu´on voit la bonne santé des juments et des poulain. En total , il y a environ 50 chevaux dont 20 poulains. Au magasin sur site on peut également acheter des produits dérivés : des savons, des crèmes...

As we had our dog with us, we were only able to visit the Gardens of the castle which were supposed to be like the Gardens of Versailles. To visit the museum (inside of the castle) you had to pay €7.50. We were only visiting...MoreOur reception is staffed only with volunteers. It is possible that one of them was not aware that our policy is to admit dogs inside the castle. I'll check that everyone takes notice of this facts Yours sincerely, Axel Bonaert

Only the waiting for the trains is a little long and after you arrive with train at entrance it also takes too long before you go in
But from buying the tickets very friendly lady and the experience in the cAves is stunning.

Voici une agréable surprise, lors de la visite guidée de ce petit musée de la moutarde Bister.
Un dicton local dit ''la moutarde qui me monte au nez"... Traduction "Cela commence à m'énerver "
Et bien ici la visite est tout sauf énervante.
Un accueil parfait, chaleureux, suivit d'explications historiques sur la région le produit, son évolution dans le temps et les différentes recettes de préparations en fonction des gouts des citoyens dans les pays européen.
Avant la petite visite de l'atelier de fabrication et d'emballage vous avez une séance de dégustations assez impressionnante. Cela va de la traditionnelle moutarde de tout les jours a des préparations atypiques telles que ma préférée, la moutarde au potiron et cannelle.
Une belle matinée lors de cette charmante en enrichissante visite.
Dans le petit magasin, vous pouvez acheter des produits, moutarde, vinaigre, oignons, câpres, bière...
Attention qu'il n'y a pas de possibilité de paiement électronique.

Sanctuary Our Lady of Beauraing is one of very few pilgrimage sites which have status of Holy See Approval in the world. in this area Mother Marry appeared to the 5 children of Beauraing in the period of 29 november 1932 till 03 january 1933, to the children of Marie-Louise Perpete Voisin family namely Fernande (15 years), Gilberte (13), and Albert (11), and to the daughters of a farmer’s widow of Germaine Degeimbre: Andree (14) and Gilberte (9).
the care-takers of the sanctuary, the group of nuns, also provide simple guest-rooms for people who come from far away. we spent one night in their guest-house, a simple but very comfortable place to pass the night, including meals. they really take care their guest with the best possible services, very friendly.
a few steps from the sanctuary, still on the same street, visitors can visit Marian Museum; and around 200 meters from the sanctuary people can see the two houses of Voisin and Degeimbre family.
Tips For Journey:
1. If you’re not with group bus, the best way is by private or rental car
2. By train: from Brussels to Beauraing around 2,5 hours and mostly connecting train in Namur. the distance is around 120km. and from Beauraing Train Station to the sanctuary only 1km, can use bus or just enjoying walking.
3. Another option, Brussels Central Station take train to Dinant (a town with its very famous citadel) and take bus to Beauraing (direction Dinant to Beauraing Indsc)
we actually combined our visit to Beauraing with Dinant town, more-less 22 km distance between two areas. about more information to the sanctuary, there are two main known webs, one with only French, and another web with 7 languages.
