While visiting the Ozarks we stopped here for a beer. The selection was wonderful and the ales and beers delicious. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Sometimes they have live music on the weekends. It's delightful. Beautiful converted barn. Big bright tasting room with a bar and lots of tables and chairs plus a big outdoor deck with picnic tables and umbrellas boasting a view of rolling hills, paddocks and grazing cattle.
Only open Friday-Sunday. If you're in the area be sure to stop by. They will give you little tastes of everything and then you can purchase a pint of your favorite brew. I love the Missouri Mule IPA. They also have seasonal and special limited run brews. Once they had Sweet Potato ale and it was delicious. They sell six packs and growlers. They fill and seal the cans right on the spot...pretty neat! If they are having live music you'll want to get there early and plan on staying a few hours. A true public house atmosphere. You can bring food and they offer pre made crust pizza. There's some good BBQ nearby. Grab some Q and come have a brew.

It's a very beautiful park with multiple trout in the streams. We had campsite 412 and the current river could be accessed from our campsite. Many different areas you could fish from. If you don't fish, not much else to do there. We ate at the lodge restaurant twice. One meal was very good and the second one so-so. Their prices were very reasonable. What we didn't know and found out on our last night there was the restaurant would cook your fish for a decent price. Had small store with any type of fishing items you might need along with a small lunch counter. It was a wonderful vacation for us, the flyfishing couple.

We decided to visit Alley Spring after hearing of it from some other family members. The whole experience was really neat. All of our kids enjoyed it which doesn't happen often since they range in age from 6-19. The grounds are well kept, the water is crystal clear, and the historic feel tops it off. If you're within an hour of this place take the extra time and add this to your list of things to see.

I hadn't been to Jadwin canoe rental for 15 years. Upon my return, it was a nice experience. Their operation was a more fluid, organized one. It was ran efficiently and professionally. The bus drivers had a good amount of character and were very helpful. Life vests were offered for the more wary canoer. The shop where you rent your canoe was not price gouging the travellers. I'd recommend. I'll not wait as long this time. Bringing the family back next year.

This place is so cool! It has lots of exciting information as well as interactive displays and videos. Walking through is short and is well organized. They have different museums for MOS and individual shops also!

We were on our way up from Mansfield, Missouri and came across this neat shop along highway 5. It is a family owned business that has many different products to keep almost anyone engaged. They boast of over 100 varieties of chocolate here which is made from a family recipe that the owner's grandfather started many years ago. They sell everything from coffee, crafts, jewelry, paintings to flower's and plants in the spring. We had some chocolate and a frozen lemonade for the road. It was well worth finding this place literally in the middle of no where.

Ok driving over this is all part of the Route 66 trip. It's an interesting bridge and worth a phot shot but not much else there. Cafe nearby looked a bit tatty so didn't stop.

Working Farm, Log Cabin, Wind Mills, Covered Bridge, Hoosegow, Hickory smoked B.B.Q, Our on Beef Jerky, Gift Shop. See the donkeys and goats. We are 2 miles south of Montauk State Park.Tour the Model A restoration barn reservation required for shop tour. We are open: April through October. Restoration Shop tours are given year round. Unfortunately it was closed when we visited. This is a seasonal site; closing in late October. It was a beautiful day and even though closed, I was able to get a few photos. It is a minor adventure getting to Bo’s Hollow with some interesting mountain roads from downtown Salem to the Hollow. If in the area in the Spring, Summer or early Fall, it certainly looked like a great place to visit. I would also be aware that the road does cross/fords a stream & I would imagine it could be an impediment with running water in the Spring

Best of the three Army Museums. If you are a cop or a former MP thus is a definite stop. Easy to get around, cool in the summer and handicap friendly.
Gift shop is a big plus.
Take time and go outdoors and see the WWII barracks buildings. Self guided, semi- handicap accessible, but very cool. A full WWII company set of facilities as it was during the war, also a Korean War barracks fully equipped, a Vietnam era facility, and a German POW facility.
- All realistically set up as well as a Co HQ and chapel. Fascinating and not a replica but how these actual facilities were historically used and on their exact site.
