Schonbrunn Palace was beautiful!! The classic pass gets you access to the palace, privy garden, maze, orange garden, and the gloriette; so many awesome things to see! Definitely recommend using any kind of tour guide (audio or person), helps a lot with understanding the royal family and the interior of the palace. It should take about 4 hours and there is a lot of walking involved. There is so much to see and lots of history to learn.

To be able to stroll within an arms length of the Royal To be able to stroll within an arms length of the selection of coaches used by the Imperil family is an awesome experience. History is all around you! Napoleon’s carriage and the funeral and ceremonial coaches are intriguing as well as the small coaches used by the Imperial family children and the sleds used to get around the palace grounds in winter. Do not bypass this building on the Schonborn Palace grounds.

We were blessed with a warm sunny afternoon to enjoy this beautiful Vienna landmark. We took in all the stunning gardens, fountains large and small, and then the leisurely stroll up the hill to the Gloriette, The effort to reach the top of the hill was rewarded with breathtaking views of the Schonbrunn Palace and city beyond. What an enjoyable afternoon!

They call it the Europe's oldest zoo. I call it the best zoo that I've ever been to. The cleanliness of the zoo and the wellbeing of animals hosted here impressed me. I wish every other zoo in the world could be kept at the same level. My recommendation for the first time visitors is obtaining a map at the entrance, taking note of the feeding times of the animals and planning their tour accordingly because witnessing the feeding of animals doubles the zoo experience.

Extremely well organized and efficient. The maps and the signs are very easy to follow, we particularly liked the way the stations that can be reached from the two platforms are signposted. You can buy your tickets ate every U-Bahn station, do it before you pass the little machines in which you must validate your ticket before starting your journey. U-Bahn can take you practically anywhere in central Vienna, the stations are not too distant from one another and the trains come in every 3-4 minutes.

To view this Colonnaded Monument from the distance of the back ofSchonbrunn Palace is wonderful but by the time you slowly climb the steep incline to the elevated hill position it is situated on, the sight is even more magnificent and the views obtained from both sides are stunning, both over looking the back of the Palace and gardens and to the fore the Panoramic views of Vienna City and beyond. This Colonnaded building flanked by wings, arches and topped with Imperial Eagles is so impressive. The Gloriette was built in 1775 created byEmpress Maria Teresa as a symbol of Hamburg Power. The plans were that of the Austrian Imperial Architect Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf Von Hohenberg. The Monument being built as a " Temple of Renown " to use both as a focal point and a lookout point. The Gloriette's decorative sculptures are by the famous Salzburg sculpture Johann Baptist Von Hagenauer. The Inner Hall was originally used as a dining room and the Festival room as a breakfast room. On the upper floor is an observation platform which gives you the opportunity to obtain spectular views and photograhs of Vienne City and beyond and looking backwards to the gardens and back view of Schonbrunn Palace The Inner Hall now functions as the Cafe Gloriette. It provides food, drinks, pastries and has the Sisi buffet which provides a good selection of items especially for children up to 12yrs old for 7 Euros. The Cafe offers a breakfast (as in Imperial times). Live classical music from a quartet occasionally, (check the times). Service can be a little slow, so be patient. Prior to winding your way up the hillside stop and take a look at the exotic fountains with the elevated majestic statues situated prior to your ascent. Enjoy this wonderful part of the Schonbrunn Palace. Please check as there was a notification posted the Cafe would be closed for a period mid January 2020 for restoration. Would highly recommend this trip.
