10 Things to do in Hell's Kitchen That You Shouldn't Miss

November 11, 2021 Kelli Reichel

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible. Instead, hit the must-sees – the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art – and then explore off the beaten path with visits to The Cloisters or one of the city’s libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village or the fine dining of the Upper West Side. The bustling marketplace inside of Grand Central Station gives you a literal taste of the best the city has to offer.

I attended an event at The Rose Theater. It was the Annual Cabaret Convention and its's an awesome show if you love cabaret. My seat was in the balcony and I was worried because the prior year I sat in the mezzanine. The space is gorgeous and the sound is awesome. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. I would love to perform there one day

New World Stages

Saw Avenue Q in the afternoon and Puffs in the evening. Bear in mind that their five different theatres are of different sizes and seemed to have been a renovated at different times. At Avenue Q, we were in one of the largest theaters and I found that my 6'5" frame had sufficient legroom and comfortable seats. Puffs was in the smallest theater and the seating seemed older. I've been in less comfortable seats, but when I inquired with the theater manager, he very quickly let me move to the back row ... in this particular theater, the back two rows are tall chairs that aren't anchored in the ground and were much more comfortable. Definitely an excellent place to see an off-Broadway production with VERY friendly and helpful staff (you can even order drinks to be brought in to you at intermission!
