Horseshoe Canyon

The route is long, but the wall of pictograms is worth the detour. There is frequently a voluntary ranger present who will spend as much time with you as you like to explain the rock art and its orogin. Probably not a good idea to hike this in summer, as there is little shade in the canyon, and there is a four mile hike to get to the site. There is also a lot of soft sand to negotiate so be prepared.

This is best seen when its overcast or during the magic hour of sunrise/sunset, the bright sunlight takes so much away from it's natural setting. From Caineville, UT, stay on State Rd 24 west for a few miles, you will see the Factory Butte in the distance (you cant miss it), once you drive up to the factory butte, take a right and keep driving for about 15 minutes, you will reach the edge of Moonscape Overlook.

Basically a smaller goblin valley. Good place to explore for a bit. Google maps took us on a side road that didnt look right from the start. The road ended up not going through so we turned around. Decided to keep going on the main road and finding an alternate route.

Probably the most unique gas station I've been to. Pick up some snacks, souvenirs, s'mores supplies, and of course, gas. Snap a quick pick with the dinos hanging out over the store entrance.
