Walking trail around the pond takes about a leisurely hour. During the summer, can be crowded with families setting up camp lake-front. Wish they would be more conscientious about removing their trash when they leave, but the park service does a good job of cleaning up. The trail is mostly flat, but requires a little climbing around rocks on the far end of the pond.

Transport yourself back in time to the 1700s and see the interior of an ancient home in the Haddam area. It is a fun and educational place to visit. While you are at it, it is a good idea to also join the Haddam Historical Society to learn about activities and adventures for you and your family.
